Being a previous gen flagship chip means its fast enough for upcoming 3-4 years easily without costing much compared to current gen flagship chips.
& Midranger chips have historically been much slower than Flagships except recently launched 7+G2.
8G2 is overall much better chip but it cost way more.
888 was never a good design to begin with.

So considering all these facts,8+Gen1 seems to offer one of best price to performance ratio for Flagship tier performance at the moment.

    Princedede, 04 Jul 2023Honestly, why are newer devices still using 8 gen 1. Seems ... moreIts not 8 Gen1 (4nm Samsung Fab, BAD PRODUCT = HOT)... its use 8+ Gen1 (4nm TMSC Fab).... its alot cheaper than 8 Gen2 while still delivering high performabce compare to mid range like 7+ Gen2....

      Honestly, why are newer devices still using 8 gen 1. Seems there's something special about that SOC that we don't know about.

        Among all Chinese brands I think vivo makes better effort with tech-designs especially the iquoo 11, I expect that rear design on their top ends.

          50 + 8 + 2mpxls yet with such design as if it has periscope lens set up 😂so so gorgeous👌
