People saying these videos are unnecessary are not getting the point.
It is not about bending phones in the wrong way just for fun, it is more of a "What if?" situation, and you see how bad a phone might fare on it.

Not actually, I think something is missing from zack's testing, I would prefer a programmed machine handles this (especially the bending) zack's muscle flexing might not be on same level in comparism with the different devices he handles. Afterall who knows what he has in mind during the bending 😂, not a joke, let's be fair we all are human.

Idk, just imagine a scenario where an infant or small child plays with your foldable phone, and "accidentally" folds it on the wrong way.

That test is to show the accidents that can happen like when you sat on a sofa and place it screen down on a sofa then go do something and forget about the foldable and sit on it.
Well use some imagination of clumsy people as there are a lot of them.
I have never sat on my phone even tough i have sat on a lot of time on a tv remote controller.
I have only 1 time in something like 20 years dropped a phone cause it was in a wrong pocket and it fell out while i was bending forvard to take something from a bottom shelf and that was in the time when was colored screen but no touchscreen phones yet and that fall broke the screen. Well it was really cheap Sony Ericsson.
Still these videos are good to see how fragile or how strong the phones are. Get's you some idea on the build quality at least.

Shame it failed. Especially at that price. Thanks to Zack, Pixel Fold team have some good feedback for the next one. If the next one even happens 👀 Wonder how the hinge looks like from inside.

It looked like a typical JRE video until I stopped watching at 8:00. Why would anyone fold a foldable screen phone backwards? This isn't a dual-screen phone like Microsoft Surface Duo/Duo 2 and LG V50/G8X/V60/Velvet with Dual Screen case. If I want a phone that can fold backwards, it won't be a foldable screen phone.
