Now this will come out at same price point. It will be bad for customers buying now S4 at same price.
Already there is Snapdragon/Octa core drama by samsung. Now this will add to it.
Note to mention they will bring two more colours before introducing water proof model with a higher price. Nice samsung !. I will never buy one.

Mobilemaster, 24 Apr 2013Man, are you talking nonsense. The HTC Flyer is NOT a phabl... moreno samsung did not, the word phablet has been around since long before that, in fact i think 2007, im a samsung owner and did not know this even though i work in a phone shop, it is just that when samsung released the note the word suddenly took off and spread, and the world phablet also technically refers to any device between 5" - 6.9" screen size, and the HTC advantage was one of the first devices to be labeled a phablet, but the word never stuck and then came back in 2008, again the word never really stuck, only with the galaxy note did the word seem to stick, mainly due to the ever increasing social media and other outlets all catching on to the word.

[deleted post]keep up with the conversations if your going to make stupid comments.....this is no way a copy or patent violation as they already have legal right to waterproofing as they have released devices in the past.

AnonD-36589, 24 Apr 2013Haha. That's what I thought. Not just the software gimmick ... morebut there is a simple solution to that, if you do not need the features, do not buy it, i will most defiantly use all of the features and actually replace some of my current equipment for it. whats the point of complaining about a phone that has so many features to cater for a vast variety of people, if its not for you, go buy another phone, they key word here is choice. which you have

Xperia Z's water resistance is a mixed bag - it's required for all ports to be tightly capped with silicone plugs yet still it's only good for for an hour or so. One could achieve the same result by covering any given phone with a condom. Don't get me wrong, I like the Xperia Z but it's not necessarily the water resistance we've all been expecting.
What about those water repellent nano coatings? When are these going to massively make it to mobile phones (or any portable electronics for that matter)? This particular technology exists, why not use it? I'd pay that $30 more for a coated handset.

AnonD-120291, 24 Apr 2013so i wonder if this model will have a fixed battery then se... moreHi! You are right. Japanese companies were the first to make waterproof phones. Casio was the first company who made a real waterproof phone(in 2005), and after that the Japanese Sony Ericsson(So 902Wp) which was made in 2006. After that, Fujitsu started to make a lot of waterproof phone. Anyway of course they don't patented this technology.
