What's the chipset of huawei watch 4 pro?

      Ok. Please read this comment.
They promoted it like gt3 with bunch of water sports mode... They released watch without freedive mode...
Ans they are silent about it when you ask them.
If you visit official products info, there are even graphics of dive modes... But not on watch 4 and watch 4 pro.
      Bad. Really bad.

How long will there be support for this watch? 1 year as they do! Too. much money for something that would only be supported for a year. This needs to have 5 years of support to make it worth spending my money on. The world is in a recession, didn't anyone tell Huawei ?

Problem is, Huawei is getting more expensive with very little changes to older products and you still get no service or repairs after the warranty is gone. You can't spend $800 on a watch that you have to throw away after 2 years because the battery died and Huawei can't replace a battery.

Kuba, 10 Jul 2023Smart watches are the most idiotic piece of tech that exist... moreSorry to hear that you had to watch your smartwatch everytime.

I use my smartwatch to know if someone is calling me (when my phone is in my bag) or to glance at my WhatsApp notification, and to see if I still need to fulfill my walking quota for the day.

Barely what you can call watching my smartwatch all the time.

                          Please complete/check two things:
                          1. Complete the FULL specification with such things as: chipset, CPU, GPU, screen brightness (numbers of nits), battery capacity, RAM and data memory.
                          2. Why is it possible to upload and navigate your tracks in the GT series and not in the Watch 4 series?

GT3 Pro also HAD fantastic battery life, now after the latest June update it barely lasts 4 days. Great job Huawei 👏

Received gt 3 pro as a gift for Christmas, lasted 7 days on a single charge, loved it a lot. BUT!
Few months later, an update to harmony 3.0 showed up, no additional functionality, aside from a few minor ui changes, but the battery now lasts only 4 days!
I consider it to be a fraud.

Another downside - metal bracelet constantly pulled out hairs on my wrist, its also somewhat heavy, replaced it with a fabric loop strap. Intresting to know if the bracelet pulling out hairs is still the issue on watch 4 pro.

While their heart rate is on par with Apple, their sleeping algo is notoriously bad, can only accurately track sleep/awake time, while messing up sleep stages(one can check out Quantified Scientist video on youtube to know the details).

Third party apps are also limited to a few dozen nonames, petal maps lacks information available to anyone with free gmaps. I tried to plan sights/cafes to visit during my vacation using petal maps to be able to use navigation, but its impossible to even create lists of places there.

Most reviewers say that huawei watches are perfect hardware with limited software due to sanctions, but I disagree, hardware - watches are big and heavy compared to competition, their metal bracelets pull out hair, battery runtime becomes shortened with software updates. Software - even leaving lack of third party software aside, nothing prevents them from developing a decent sleep tracking algorithm available on a few years old fitbit for a fraction of their cost. Nothing prevents them from making petal maps usable on watch/phone/laptop.

Those are €700 watch without working watch payment.
Those are 65 grams without a strap, heavier than apple ultra.
Those are flagship watches with sleep tracking worse than a $100 fidbit.

Kuba, 10 Jul 2023Smart watches are the most idiotic piece of tech that exist... moreWell, in my case, my Samsung watch helped detect a couple of health issues.
I wasn't going to keep mine four years ago when I bought one, but the first day of not having to reach for my stupid phone every time it did something while working (mine phone is used a lot for work) was worth it. I noticed it tracked sleep & heart rate and noticed that while I was sleeping, my heart rate would spike in the 90 beats per minute range. On my next routine doctors visit, I mentioned and showed this to my doctor who suggested a sleep study. I was diagnosed with mild/moderate sleep apnea. I've been on a cpap ever since and my sleep is much improved, not to mention I don't wake up 3-4 times a night.
So, in my case, a smart watch has been a blessing.

Smart watches are the most idiotic piece of tech that exists. Sure people are not yet enough addicted to their phones, now must be be also constantly watching your watch! Because your heart rate or steps counter information is so crucial to your life:)

                                      > You also get a promise of ultra-long battery life that is supposed to provide 21 days on a single charge.
Samsung should learn from them fr.
