So yes e... morethe only real reason the equaliser is exists actually is to eliminate undesirable frequency peaks. i mostly use it to smooth out frequency peaks that are mostly hidden in the 1khz to 12khz region. that way i can make almost any headphone sound like a dolby atmos real life experience. with the 8 Band EQ of the Ear2, i get pretty close to my natural hearing.

So yes e... morethe whole point is not to get badly sounding headphones and you don't equalizer, if they sound decent, then it better that way than added artificallly equalizer, i never use equalizer, but there again, i always buy decent sounding iems/earphones and headphones from US$30 to US$320.

People including me like to boost bass to kill sharp treble and make it enjoyable. Others may reduce the bass to make it critically clear. Yes we have default phone equalizer and laptop equalizer but app equalizer can be more effective.

As lot's of people into audio like to change the tone curves to there specific preferences.

Edit: found them, they’re AAC, SBC, and LHDC 5.0
Tbh I really hope the supposed leaked French prices for the Nothing phone (2) aren’t true and aren’t for all other countries.
Honestly I’m waiting to see this in the US where I live because the phone market is so dry imo compared to overseas lol. I just hope the prices are low enough.
