Sony is still catching up with the big guys when it comes to software updates. Besides, it's incredible that the Xperia E receives JB and the 2011 line doesn't. Why? Although I like sony phones and their UI, I won't be coming back and buying any of their phones.

I honestly love Sony's design for their android devices ever since their Xperia line came out. All of them look professional and beautifully designed. But the very big turn off for me is their very slow updates with Android software. I mean, come on Sony, you took more than a year to release a Jellybean update for this devices. I wouldn't mind a non-sony enhanced stock version of the latest Android firmware. This is what really turned me off when I was buying a new phone last year and went for a Galaxy S3. If Sony wants to make a name for themselves in the market, then they should take a note from Samsung and hire a competent team to quickly update and develop Android software updates for all of their devices.

Looking forward to see how Project Butter is working on these devices with Jelly Bean
As you know, the Project Butter in fact improves the system graphical operations enormously and as a whole in this project the two processing units (CPU & GPU) works along with each other

shame! my xperia sola hasn't even gotten 4.0 update yet. keeps telling me its up to date with 2.3
I have used all legal update methods, ie sony pc companion etc but no hope. now i have to forget about it as its not going to be upgraded to 4.1

if Sony Xperia E dual can get the jelly bean update then then with what aspect the Sony ericsson Xperia 2011 series are not getting this update. the 2011 Xperia phones have much better specifications than Xperia E dual.
