Fan Edition or FE is largely a vision-less concept for now.
It started with Note 7, which got a FE after original was banned for being fire prone due to huge battery in small space.
S10's FE was a big screen phone but with inferior sound & camera quality, and heavier than S10 regular.
S20's FE is a good concept, it has Snapdragon 865 with memory card slot, but its heavy too.
But, S21's FE is largely useless, offering not too much more than a discount over regular S21.
Now they're betting on Snapdragon 888 to save the day for an already doomed phone...
It would've been great if FE had essentials like audio jack, microSD, etc to actually appeal to the fans, but nothing such here.

Just sold my S21FE 888 at a loss(bought with 400euros refurbished, sold with 200e 2 months later) . Nice camera, performance, screen but: slow charge and terrible battery life as it is summer the screen was full brightness. Just bought myself an iPhone ..slow charge but compensates with good battery life. Bye bye android forever

Overpriced but it will sell because people so love the idea of a Snapdragon from Samsung. This does seem like a dumping effort though, an expensive one.
Anybody, who'd rather get a stable Snapdragon is welcome to get S20 FE instead.
Fun Fact: Among the 5 FAQ's under the S21 FE (Snapdragon) on Samsung's Indian website is the question, " How to prevent the overheating of your Galaxy device ". Ironically, it has been updated just recently on June 27, 2023.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2023No they aren't. The FE series starting with the S20 FE... moreThe S20 FE actually has way better battery than the S21 FE, with no overheating issues. The Exynos and the 888 have heat and thus battery issues. But the numbers are exaggerated for effect.

TheLastOracle, 10 Jul 2023The SE range is a great mid ranger with some flagship specs... moreNo they aren't. The FE series starting with the S20 FE have had some serious issues with battery life and overheating. It's meant for people who will buy for the brand name and then suffer.
