For some reason UK prices are... moreTax in india on mobile phones is 18% and its included in price(29999 INR) just like UK.
Of late most mid range phones(except Pixel) are priced cheaper in india than rest of world( except china).But this kind of disparity in price I haven't noticed.
pixel 7a is very expensive in india its 549 USD . edge 40 is no brainer option for those who want stock android experience.

According to the article, in the US the Motorola Thinkphone is $595 on Amazon (which is discounted by $105 from the regular price of $700). In the UK the regular price is £899.99. If you look at the current exchange rate ($1 US = £0.77 GBP) that means the Thinkphone regular price in the UK should be £692, but instead it's £207 more expensive.
The regular UK price of £899.99 translates into $1170 US, yet you can get it for $700 regular price.
If the Amazon deal were available in the UK the Thinkphone would cost only £458.

In Ukraine, Motorola Edge 40 8/256GB costs 15,000 UAH, which is approximately 370 euros or 410 dollars.

without discounts one would get for 280 pounds in india that too 256gb
