For me- I had many Iphones, many Samsungs, Sonys, several Huaweis but I get tired of how they look the same over time (as using same phone for 3-4 months and more) and often change phones to another, but Nothing and Asus RoOG gave me that enjoyment for more than year of owning a same phone. I have readed gsmarena that now many other phones makers are puting leds on back and doing something that their phones would not be so borring, but still I prefer those 2 companies - Nothing for stock android and glyph and ROG for heavy customasation, great audio, great and powerfull phone

I do like the Glyph, it brings something interesting to the table. But if Nothing makes a phone based on the Glyph, then they're stuck since it has to follow the Glyph design in the first place. It's the same story as Motorola Moto Mods where it has to confine to the phone's overall dimension. So eventhough the Moto Z4 can have a large screen, the camera cannot move anywhere.

Especially historically screens and phone frames were smaller, so it's not a problem to make a phone frame 150mm or 160mm tall and 70mm or 76mm wide. The internal components, other than the battery are the same.
At 6.1" a phone is still far from being small and is pretty large or even too large for some people.

Most equipment in the factories has tooling in mind for the larger phones, so its much cheaper to use the available tooling than have factories design new ones for the smaller size components.

Other than battery I can't think of something that is either the same regardless of phone size or is custom made for a specific model, so size is also irrelevant for a bulk purchase.

Mr. Anonymous, 13 Jul 2023That is partly true. The difference is not that big in amou... moreIt's not about the amount of materials but more about the availability in bulk of the needed parts. Big phones are popular and their parts are readily available at a cheaper price than their smaller counterparts. That's a big reason for most low to mid range Androids being at or over 6.5".

On the other hand, less material needs to be purchased (so expenses will be about the same) and the sales will be bigger, so profits will increase.

Again, when people have the money and choice, more go for 6.1 versus a larger device.

They're just more difficult to keep cool due to physics. So at the end of the day the market availability of hardware isn't really affecting your decision.

Even if there is a vast market for 6.1, it's much cheaper and easier for Android manufacturers to focus on 6.3+ devices as it is cheaper and easier to manufacture them to begin with. The components are cheaper since they are produced and sold in much higher quantities than 6.1 and below.

The same ugliness made of junk, frame, back display with old hardware, processor, memory, Old camera modules. A bunch of funny programmers and one crazy designer just get your way and go bankrupt, don't go into making phones and other devices because you are stupid misfits. Paid 5-6 bloggers for advertising and think that people are simple like them to buy Indian Junk at European prices. Even if you give me this junk, I can't cause myself such pain. Ibasis and stupid investors think that they too will lose their money, but they are very mistaken.

The only good thing I can see is the price. We are finally back at 500-600 range for a flagship device.

Can be short telephoto, medium telephoto or long telephoto.

Periscope is technology created by Minolta (that got acquired by Sony few years later) that change orientation of sensor at 90 degrees. Minolta had camera with this tech in early 21th century .
