You have to conta... moreSome banks (Barclays specifically) offer the option to disable (and limit) all contactless payments and still allow PIN entry payment for their cards via their banking app. I've lowered the limit for contactless payments to £10 on my cards, and set a maximum spend of £100 per day via said app, to limit the amount I will lose via contactless theft...

As already stated POS terminals use NFC and here in the UK £100 is the maximum amount you can authorise and then it becomes Chip and Pin (digressing a little multiple contactless transactions in a short time can mean you have to enter a pin as to prevent possible fraud)
Merchants normally will have the relatively expensive POS terminal, this service is additional to that where if I understand it correctly just use Apple Tap to Pay**
NFC in Apple iPhone is to support Apple Pay, Apple bring nothing to the table, the processing / transaction fee charged by the Card company to Business instead of it all going to the Card company Apple now receives a percentage (high?) in Apple Pay
** If your products are under the £100 limit then this service offers you the ability to accept contactless payments on your iPhone (presumably there is a pin back up facility)
There won't be additional fees charged, whatever card charges /bank charges the merchant eventually pays will be split
So the phrase don't call me at work is even more appropriate!

Massive flaw here is that unlike dedicated payment terminals it only accepts payments via NFC, so no one can pay using a physical bank card, which most people do here.
