listening to everyone complaining about the crease on the dummy phone really makes my day. its a glorified piece of plastic which is obviously going to crease significantly easier than the actual phone. maybe wait until the physical handsets have launched before jumping to any conclusions

I dont think samsung shuld undermine S-series especially plus variants and invest in foldables. They r going to be dead. No one will spend 800$ just for foldable and satisfy with stupid battery life ,camera.

CoshaFlip, 16 Jul 2023---Samsung - another sad year. It's like they are cont... moreA Z Fold that is thicker and/or heavier is going in the opposite direction of what I want.
I recently noticed a hole on the right side of my A8 which I assume is for an s-pen. My A8 and Z4 are basically the same thickness so the only s-pen that is fitting in there would be the width of a q-tip without the cotton.
Try doing anything with a q-tip other than signing your name in random strokes that is illegible.

---Samsung - another sad year. It's like they are contractually obligated to disappoint. Contractually obligated to release a device per annum. We have reached a peak. Yawn.
The "S-Pen" needs a refresh. There's no reason why they can't implement an S-Pen inside the device hinge that holsters the pen and charges it. 1/4 of the new semi round pen rests perfectly inside the hinge of the device where it will charge and the other 3/4 of the new pen is wider, round, and thicker. You push to eject and the S-pen can be pulled out. The hollow space ends open evenly so not to interrupt your hand held experience.
It can ship with a regular S-Pen colorway or unique color to match the device color. It's amazing how the rumors suggest a price hike - lol. So far, I Am only interested in the new Tab S9 series, possibly the Flip 5 depending on camera, screen, trade-in offers.

Tata86, 15 Jul 2023Samsung started the whole folding “revolution “ and now the... moreIn front of in what? Just in the shape you prefer? The only thing they were better at non visible crease. But Sammy has it now also. But what is more important is built quality and safety. Samsung offers only foldable with good ip ratings. Software is also way better in Sammy

PorkHotdog, 14 Jul 2023Crease = No buy. Get rid of the crease and I'll get one 100%that's impossible to do, why don't u go create glass that bends, also this is a dummy it doesn't have the quality of the real materials of the device but yeah still crease will be there and it's literally a none issue when u actually use the device

PepperPot, 14 Jul 2023It will be a while before that happens. Every foldable has... moreI think you can't get rid of crease for a long time or perhaps never. In order to bend something you need strain relief unless the screen is working like rubber band. Without strain relief (flat screen), it will break eventually. The crease of the z and pixel are narrow but deeper while foldables from china are wider and shallower. Therefore, I guess the the length of strain relief is almost identical depend on how you implemented it.

PorkHotdog, 14 Jul 2023Crease = No buy. Get rid of the crease and I'll get one 100%It will be a while before that happens. Every foldable has a crease. Obviously, the Z and Pixel are the worse while the Mate X3 and Oppo is probably the best (out of the box), but no one has figured out how to defy physics yet.

Same damn phone for the past 3 generations with the same hideous crease and gap and with the same mediocre cameras.
Samsung used to be innovative but now they are far behind the competition when it comes to foldables.
