Anonymous, 15 Jul 2023Because chinese brands sell more in China than outsideThere are just over 8 billion people in the world.
Of that about 3.2 billion old enough and have the resources to purchase and use smartphones:
Globally Apple has just about 1.2 billion phones in active use, the rest Android.
In China alone their population is 1.3-1.4billion people (prior to 2000, so a lot more likely as no more hard restrictions of 1 child per family has ended over a decade ago).
Of that about less than 1 billion have the resources and old enough to use a smartphone.

The reason why Chinese brand phones sell more in China are:
1. Control and restrictions and funding/part-ownership by CCP.
2. No major marketing globally - very few do support Europe, Asia (North East, West, and Southern Asian peoples), North and South America and Australia and New Zealand.
3. No warranty in the above mentioned global markets I’ve mentioned in #2 above. Some may participate on a limited scale but few do.

(This is an educated guess working in the industry; willing to see who has better info of course).

Same goes for American, Japanese and other manufacturers for smartphones. Honestly I don’t think anyone is as global as Apple and Samsung - truly global as in shipping phones, hardware and software warranty support.

ffsfsdf, 17 Jul 2023Its time for 6000mah on flagships to be the normWhy? Why should 6000mAh batteries be the norm, for what exact purpose?!

Some of you may not be old enough to recall feature phones running J2ME/MIDP apps with only 400-600mAh batteries - of course tiny screens and only having Bluetooth. But many Nokia’s running S60 only had 1000mAh batteries max eith just as powerful apps, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections (each less efficient by todays standards). Games didn’t compare the. But those CPU’s were very efficient.

Having a much more efficient processor is better than having a bigger battery - like a much more efficient V-12 Engine in the Parasangue is more efficient than that in the mid 80’s Testarossa! More powerful less fuel needed to achieve more power and better fuel efficiency.

Qualcomm's SoC will drop support for 32-bit computing.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also said to run on version 6.1 of the Linux kernel with Android 14.
Arriving with the Adreno 750 and currently has a peak clock speed of 770MHz; that could change.
CPU configuration with a 2+3+2+1 structure. This includes two ARM Hayes (A5XX) “Silver” cores, three ARM Hunter (A7XX) “Gold” cores, two ARM Hunter (A7XX) “Titanium” cores, and one ARM Hunter ELP (Xn) “Gold” core. This will be Qualcomm's first chip to have “Titanium” cluster and as of now, it's unclear how it will differ from the “Gold” cluster.(This is very different from the current 1+4+3 layout).

That camera island makes them unique alright - uniquely bad. I could tolerate 10 Pro's, but this one like the 11 just screams ugly oml

oh yeah, 8 gen 3 will work perform just like 6 gen1 , that is what will happen when advertising company like bbk and siongmi make phone

I am a happy camper with my OnePlus 8pro. The one thing I absolutely love about OP 8pro design is the center mounted back cameras that immensely contribute to overall phone balance, grip and stability. No matter what hardware they put in as long as they are sticking to this UGLY AF back camera design I am not buying.

Hamad1993, 15 Jul 2023Why can’t they make a compact one like Asus or IPhone Mini? 💔😭Because they won't gain much money from that. They want your money y'know.

This design change is a weird one.

I am using Vivo X80pro, and I remember when it was released the experts called the big round camera ugly. They did not know that ,almost all the big phone maker company's flagships will come with big round cams. Anyway the best looking so far is the Find x6 pro, and the red vivo x90 pro.
