This is so sad i bought pad mini like the first couple of months it was out number stil on 11 while android 14 is in beta testing. We will never get updates to 14 even though that will only had the tablet for year. Realme customer service is terrible.

They won't update it like the previous Realme pad.
They promised Android 12 but failed to deliver...
And fun fact, the original Pas was released after the release of Android 12!

I retract this statement as I misread your coment as the Mi Pad 2 and not Redmi Pad 2. But I'm still confused by this.
Why are you using a straw man fallacy? You do know that Redmi Pad and the Mi Pad are entirely different right? Literally 2 different subbrands and different price points. Meanwhile the Pad 2 and Pad X are the same brand (or subbrand if you consider BBK as the parent brand) and potentially the same price point.

The Pad and Pad 2 is different in all but the name. Just from the size and weight alone, they're in a completely separate category.
With your line of thinking, the specs of the s23+ is the successor of the specs of the vanilla s22 if you'll just rename the former into s23. Oh nevermind the huge difference in size between the two btw, all that matters is that they have the same naming scheme, right?
See how hilarious that kind of logic is?
Again, going back to the A52s vs A53 situation. Are you seriously suggesting that people shouldn't compare the two as the A53 succeeds the A52, and only A52, because of the name? While just completely ignoring A52s existing with its much better SoC because hurr durr, it's not comparable?

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2023This is meant to supplant the Realme Pad, not the Pad X.Lmao, no to you and to the guy who said that this isn't the successor. The Pad X is more of a predecessor of this than the realme Pad.
1. The Pad 2 (11.5) and the Pad X has a much comparable screen size (10.95) vs the realme Pad (10.5). In fact, I would just argue to put the Pad 2 in a separate category vs the Pad because of such discrepancy in size.
2. Battery capacity would also fall into that 8000+ mah area because of the much larger size. Pad X has 8300 mah and the Pad has 7100. Which again is much more comparable?
3. Weight - Pad 2's not mentioned here but I would assume it's similar again to the Pad X based on the screen size.
4. Price - Do you really think that realme would price this anywhere near the original Pad when this has a high refresh rate, much larger screen, bigger battery capacity, and arguably better SoC? No, ofc not. The price of this will be near the Pad X, that's for sure.
And no, don't do the naming argument. Remember the Samsung A52s vs A53 fiasco, where the former has a much better SoC? Well, it's pretty much the same situation here.

I don't understand how people can comfortably spend 2-3 hours of their lives playing games on a small screen like a smartphone. I said "small" because instead of widening, today's smartphones tend to be elongated which keeps the screen width range from top to bottom narrow (aka phone nowadays has bad aspect ratio in my opinion if you play some games that require a wider screen reach). Sure I know that holding a 10 inch tablet for 2-3 hours is way more uncomfortable, that's why we need a more serious 8-inch tablet, like Legion Y700 or iPad Mini, UNLIKE the Realme Pad Mini.
The chipset itself is capable enough to run most games at medium resolution smoothly. I don't understand if you still think 40 fps is bad, maybe that's a problem from you guys.

Why do everyone always talk about gaming on tablets ? Especially on these low end budget tablets ? These tablets are made for social workers that have there special programs and move around. Like medics who need to fill forms can do it on a tablet and dont need to use a lot of paper for that.
To be honest i have no clue what tablets are used for but i am sure they are not made for gaming as i think these are already too big and too heavy for the comfort to play with them in long time
