ZTE is betting on better optics rather than having the largest sensor possible. And a lot of software enhancements, of course.

Koh Dong-Jin, 20 Jul 2023Which means more light than 1 inch sensor? A larger main camera lens could theoretically let in more light than the smaller main camera lens on the Oppo Find X6 Pro, Vivo X90 Pro+, Xiaomi 13 Ultra etc. If the glass is of high quality at letting light through.

Of course it would be better to instead have both a larger main camera lens using a high quality light absorption lens plus a 1 inch sensor on a smartphone, best of both worlds. Then also make it fully variable aperture like the Huawei P60 Pro for different shooting conditions.

so is this the largest entrance pupil ever existed on smartphones or there are something else bigger, like the phantom x2 pro? i checked all the previous zte smartphones camera and it seems like they all have large pupil like this one.

SamsungRules, 20 Jul 2023I agree Price on Giztop is very reasonable for a phone of this caliber and the Brown and White variants both look incredible. Just not sure about 5G/LTE US bands compatibility.

Koh Dong-Jin, 20 Jul 2023Is 1 inch F 1.9 better than 1/1.56 F 1.6?Xiaomi's 1" f/1.9 gather 0,8 EV more light than Nubia's 1/1.56" 1,6. But Nubia gets more background blur, due to the focal length. It's about 0,3 EV difference, so like Nubia has f/4,0 and Xiaomi has f/4,5, when keeping same framing to the subject. Of course the background on Nubia will be tighter than Xiaomi's.
