Samsung Galaxy S24 series reportedly not getting selfie camera upgrade

Samsung is also said to reuse the 200MP sensor from the S23 Ultra for the S24 Ultra.

Dont buy flagships from Samsung, Apple or other companies these years... Yet years later it's still the same incremental barely noticeable improvements. Same selfie camera and again in Samsung Galaxy S flagship and Apple Iphpne Pro for many years.

It is a necessary push for getting tech better, after all any moving part is more likely to break so less moving parts the better.
          Still, real motive is obvious even to me, after all, they could add a wired connection port for music and charging at once even.

            And they can easily be bulky too. And the needing charged part is a huge issue. And the volume things is equally as bad with Bluetooth.
            And as the world has not actually moved to entirely Bluetooth there are still many things that need or work way better with wired connection. They just prematurely removed the option which leaves people in bad positions.

            There was no reason, necessity, or benefit for the removal. Both existed in harmony and gave us the option of whichever we needed or wanted. They removed it to force people into buying wireless and paying more for charge repairs

              Who makes the camera sensors? The good ones are either Sony or Samsung

              So... do tell what is being innovated by the Chinese like Xiaomi and the BBK group other than marketing?

              The only exception was Huawei, prior to the ban. But that's history.

My KZ ZS6 (2017) is still alive now the only problem it had was broken cable which I easily be replaced. I use it daily during commute. If I'd go TWS once the battery died then they cannot be replaced, totally disposable. Lots of my friends has TWS and would have issues regarding uneven battery drain, uneven battery lifespan, unable to maintain or bad connection when phone in jeans pocket, can't use TWS need to charge battery low, one side lost/misplaced and no way to buy one side only if this is wired then one side will not be lost the cable will keep the earphone with the owner.

                      I don't mind having new and maybe better wireless feature what I don't like was removing a totally working 3.5mm jack feature that would easily fit with the phone design and the SoC already provide feature for it.

                        Wireless- only small number of devices are lossless, laggy, can shutter, need batteries and charging, limited loudness.
                        Not sure if there is more, but see where it is going.

Its very visible in daily life and thats comparing ancient to recent years. S21u for example got 90% similar performance on uw, 3x and 10x tele. Like, it is more sharper, colorful, but its about the difference from processing using the same low res sensor thats used mainly for vlog right now. Nothing against vloggers, I'm not one tho.

                                Surely great for hi res, but lacking in everything else. End result - best to use lossless wireless tech or straight end device to get lossless quality. There are some that can do that, which is better than hunting for the cables.

Low res cropping is surely hard for the eyes. But I guess its social media centric, since they downsize so much you wont see a full hand in the pic even. No matter the size and performance, multi aperture gives you more ways to shoot, just few to mention: less hunting in video, more of subject in-focus be it stills or video(sony even added this with AI to their vlog cameras). If this is joke, I guess people like jokes.
                                      I was shooting recently and it was disaster on the phone as I had little detail, missing fov I wanted to use and quality lens with great hdr and image processing did not save it.
                                      Product being a toy depends on who uses that, even 10mp is somehow useful, but 50mp vs 10mp, how to say it, if you cannot see a difference between those...
                                      As for 8K vs 4K, as it is with sd res now, value of hi res will be above one with lower res. Not to mention how useful it is even if just for a stills, 8mp vs 32mp? I found use for that and I'm not even recording so much, guess about the others that do it primaly.
                                      You can see that specs in the result stills, bright, colorful, full of detail, multiple options.
                                      And I will mention it again, every xxx phone out there I tried, including chinese brands, sony, iphone,... was lagging when taking shots, but Xiaomi was not (could be less of the processing or whatever), the result was that other brands looked like toys. Those were 999 euro priced ones. I wouldn't want to be a fan while knowing they don't care about this.
                                      Why should I care about charging even then, well it depends, as for me still on samsung, I use charging case when there is no time, so doubling the weight and thickness - talk about useful flagship specs...
