First removed radars from his card and now they phantom break. Then he bought twitter, which *could* be a good idea given how underutilized Twitter was to bring profits, but then the guy went on and killed off the no1 thing about it, the name recognition.
In short, becoming the richest guy in the world went into his head and made him think that he has the touch of Midas. He was still kind of eccentric before, but he could at least be stopped from his more crazy ideas, all the while enabled towards his good ideas.
These day it's 3 bad ideas for every good one. He's lucky that his primary companies are such cash cows, or else he would be another Trump. To be made fun off...
And I'm saying that as a sympathizer of what he was saying he will do with Twitter (hate speech = off, but disruptive speech = ok)

Hahahaha. Some of these comments are gold. Hilarious stuff. Time will tell but I wouldn't dismiss people who say Musk is on to a dumb idea. Just because someone is rich doesn't preculde them from making mistakes and big ones at that.

Anonymous, 24 Jul 2023This looks similar to Google going Alphabet Inc.Alphabet did not phase off Google. Musk is insane. Most of what he paid for Twitter was the name recognition and now he does away with it. Literally insane stuff, guy has the understanding of marketing and brand recognition that a 3 year old would have.
At this point twitter ain't Twitter. Most of the stuff is gone, the name is different. X is sth that built off from Twitter, but it is not Twitter. Musk literally and fully killed the Bird app. No wonder Zuck had his app released. Sure it's a poor copycat, but with literally no Twitter the playfield is leveled and X vs Threads woukd fight.
Threads actually have a chance. It didn't before, in the realm of tech, the power of first move is almost impossible to overcome *unless* the first mover (Twitter in this case) excuse themselves. It's incredible actually, it will be studied for ages...

It's not hard to get so much users when you already have several platforms before that just can link to a new platform under the same platform tree.
Even the people who whine that Twitter have no freedom of speech and have bots and trolls that moved to Threads started to get censored and then went on to cry about it.
It's just another of these platforms that want only one way of thinking and dont allow any other way of thinking. And just look at the stats of that page that now is dropping like crazy. What is that 117 million registration when maybe 10% is left of it who are active in there
117 million registrated people is awesome number only when it's a new platform that dont have other platforms before it and is coming out of nowhere.
It's same like in this site we have news where some new phone model is selling like 100k in a hour but that is just retail shops who buy like 100-1000 for there shop to deliver them for people who preorder them or have the stock when the release date comes up as these mean nothing.

...because 117 million users is considered a fail? That's a fifth of Twitter's monthly active users, I don't think that's that bad.
Yes, I guess Meta is known as a data grabber... but is Twitter much different?

I see all these raging snowfl@kes in the comments below. But the facts remain unchanged. Twitter or X is doing exponentially well (look at it's share prices, and also it's inflow of new users). Meanwhile Threads & all other copycats are failing hard.
At the end of the day, Elon is winning.
