I always seen this version used on several low end phones/tablets. All just to cheap out on specs.
Hope we have moved on from that.

Funny that some people still use really old androids. Newer androids are much better and mature. Smarter as well. Android 14 will be the last android for my phone. Rocking Samsung A52. Pretty good as I'm not a gamer.

BrianCoriour, 25 Jul 2023No one uses anything below android 7I can believe that. As of May 2023, anything below Android 8.1 hardly reach 2.5% of OS version distribution.

Sad. This is why we need some law that mandates abandoned software to be opened up or at least the bootloaders to be unlockable.

Anunu, 25 Jul 2023such an ignorant thing to say smhSome people think just because they're on the lastest Android version nobody else must be using older versions... their view of the world is so limited with this mentality that it creates a protagonist complex where they think everything revolves around them lmao. I for one am glad they exist, because it makes me feel better that I am beyond those dumb assumptions.

And this is why it's important to be able to sideload apks, because some apps might support 4.4 beyond google's dropped support if you get the apk from their website instead (like Whatsapp), so you can squeeze as much out of your device as you can. Hopefully Android 14 news about "making sideload apps harder" was just a rumor and not a reality...

i didn't think any devices running Android 4.4 were still being used. amazing that some people got this much value out of their phones/tablets
