The Tab S9 looks like a great buy, especially with that free storage upgrade and paying no tax on school stuff which started this week in the USA. So basically buying the Tab S9 256GB WiFi with a trade-in of my Tab S7 Plus for $449.99 with no tax. Samsung used to give a lot of freebies, especially in the USA for when you pre-order a phone or tablet. Samsung needs to back the freebies because this is an outrage.🤡🙈🙉🙊

PeterThePanda, 26 Jul 2023Lol. Samsung has all the tech to implement a 10-120Hz refre... moreI agree. Plus getting the devs to port their tablet apps to Android. Samsung isn't doing enough in this space. I just sold my TabS8 Ultra just because there are no decent CAD apps on Andriod to the same level as Shapr3d. I hate my Ipad M2 Pro, but feel I have to suck it up. I loved my TabS8 ultra. Samsung needs to release monthly security patches as they do with their phones and get the proper Pro-like apps over. Otherwise, Apple will continue to rule. It's just those two areas to sort out, so get on it Google and Samsung.

Disappointed that the Vanilla S9 has gone Amoled which means the price of a regular sized flagship tablet will be expensive now with a screen with the potential to get screen burn out after long term use. Thank you Samsung for making it more difficult to choose between Apple and Samsung tablets now in terms of pricing. I have a Tab A 10 2016 as a secondary tablet and its display is still good after 6 years although battery life not so good. Guess I will hold on to my Tab S7 for years to come

Finally, the regular S9 has AMOLED now.

With a more power efficient chipset with better cooling system, I doubt you can tell the temperature increasing just by holding it with hand.

Tab S9 (base) looks good. Will be a good choice for the price/performance.

Don’t quite see the need for IP rating on large tablets, other than to justify the high price. Home users wouldn’t care, while enterprise users would demand something more rugged, not this razor thin slab.

                              laptops masquerading as 'tablets'

Lol. Samsung has all the tech to implement a 10-120Hz refresh rate on their displays yet still sticks to crappy 60-120Hz. Add to that their slow release of security patches on their tablets.

Until Samsung and other Android OEMs keep treating tablets as second class citizens with respect to Apps and software updates, iPads will still remain King of the tablet market, and I don't even like Apple.

The only SD8 Gen.2 tablets, at least for now.

finally 11 inch model with oled, 120hz and 45w charging

IP68 does sound nice, but I wonder if it's as effective as IP68 on the Tab Active 4 Pro.
