They could have just continued selling their flagship phone without the headphone jack as they did two years prior. But alas, real common sense truly wins the day. I even see people who stopped using wireless earbuds and gone back wired.

                  At those prices 256GB should be standard storage.

                    In Europe they're already starting at €1200 for the base 128gb versions. With those US price hikes, we'll be looking at €1400 for the base model.

                        You must be forgetting the constant backdoor loop holes with the current samsung and apple security chips aswell with multiple massive data loss attacks over the last couple of years, oh and multiple times apple has leaked its customers data, do you not remember the 12 series and how using any web browser gave anyone any infomation they wanted from that users phone, or how about all the email "leaks" that was even happening to my mates... Hmmm.

                        You literally trust the most un trustworthy company, possibly, on the planet? In multiple multi million dollar lawsuits for constantly breaching patents/laws/data breaches that this site and a lot of other news outlets hide. (like samsung aswell, think those 2 are in the most lawsuits out of all phone companies) the company that has the biggest monopoly on multiple markets while charging more than others for less..                                   Anyway there is more flaws with Find my iphone off with reserve mode (evil never sleep iOS vulnerability), major ios FCP Zero Click are rewarded less than android (so it's it's more common than Android, Zerodium), safari is know to enable remote attackers ability to execute arbitrary code on targeted systems, vpn leaking...

                                  And for the other comment you talk about 3rd party non sense. Would you rather be stuck using unsecure apps like Safari or even iMessage (iMessage 0-Click Attacks) in an locked ecosystem that you cannot control your privacy and security from Apple an anti consumer brand.

                                  On Android, open source allows more researchers to make sure the os maintain good security and if not it allow them to modify it and create security and privacy rom like Grapheneos, Calyxos or DivestOs. They allow you to protect against your "backdoor".
                                  There is also degoogled ROM like /e/ or graphene don't come with default google apps for privacy.

                                  Android give you choice, Apple don't.

                                    The 14 plus was dragged for being terrible value money compared to the Pro and in true Apple fashion, they are fixing that by increasing the price of the Pro instead of just making the plus better lol
