      Yesterday, I might have questioned this statement. Today, I'm a little more open to this possibility. Motorola was 1st to introduce the teardrop hinge, but Jerry's teardown shows their new hinge is visually identical to Samsung's Z4 hinge.

        Symbian was the first Smartphone O/S whilst Nokia hold many patents developed using Symbian, Symbian weakness was it step by step and not touchscreen.

        It literally took days to write code for the simplest of tasks as any point on the screen can be an input point

        Android still has Security issues, Symbian does not
        At one point manufacturers had one Android phone (new kid on the block) and the more established and secure Windows

        Microsoft Ist failure was it didn't realize the advantageous position it was in.
        Android released what manufacturers wanted Dual Core Support plus memory expansion.

        After that nobody released a Windows phone.

        Nokia became Lumia phones and were making a comeback. Hewlett Packard released a flagship phone running Windows Phone OS unfortunately it was Windows 10.

        Windows Phone 10 despite testing simply did not work on every device, instead of stopping, Microsoft launched the Lumia 950 and 950 XL installed
        Suffice to say Microsoft stopped selling Lumia running Windows 10 as every device had an inbuilt software problems, you could have just one problem or multiple

        Even in the 2 years following Microsoft could not fix the problems, if you had Window Phone 10 installed you had
        problems, Windows 8 was essentially shutdown, two years of fixes problems exist.

        Had WP 8 been available you or Microsoft had an alternative route e.g. Windows Phone 8 plus.

        If Windows Phone 10 was installed then no, it was behaving like a virus you couldn't shake.

        As you know apps follow phone sales.

        The example I use is Apple, you don't have to install the latest iOS, and the latest iOS was tested before release

        Microsoft Windows is more secure than Android, however Android has not released software it knows was severely compromised.

          2a. There were many ways to create the foladable phone, and Samsung way is just one of the way.
          2b. **NOT** all foldable display made by samsung.

Creating water resistant is not easy, fee for every phone for IP rating is only minuscule compared to cost for patent lisence. It would be more expensive, if they had choosed to pay samsung for every patent needed to make water resistant foldable.

                2. Creating crease less foldable display is very easy to samsung, they still have not found to make it crease less + bezel less + water resistant yet.

                  That said, I dont think water resistance for these other brands is about whether they can. OnePlus was doing that for a long time, where the phone wasnt necessarily any less water resistant than most, but they just didnt get the IP certificate cos it ends up driving price of the phones up.

                  But yeah, I guess most of the best panels come from Samsung. Although... Why do competitors make less crease than Samsung if its Samsungs own product?

                  Samsung still probably has the best software of all foldables and its probably not even close for now, but it's true that literally everyone else is taking leaps forward in areas where Samsung is lacking, but Samsung does still have a few advantages, and alot of it is just branding. Nokia's downfall from the top to ceasing to exist (in Mobile phones) was fast and was caused by similar complacency

                      I couldve taken an extra millimeter for wireless charging, but this thing is likely the best foldable right now.

                      That said, if international release takes 6 months like with Magic VS, they mightebe handing over marketshare for OnePlus Open

                        Forget the others. This is the only one you should buy. Honor did a fantastic job.

                          Overclocked sd gen 2 with 16gb ram, bigger outer screen with stylus support on both screen, bigger battery, killer design with high quality materials, and a lot of other things. This is what innovation is about, not a hinge that you cant solve until 5th generation of release. Scamsung really marketed hinge as innovation 🤣
