Sammy must have a lot of stock SD888 because recent s21fe 2023 also carry SM888. Overall good idea give option to those anti exynos on midranger, because 2023 has no SD power midranger so far.
Most likely amoled display, lipo 6000mah

7 Gen 2 of the Poco F5 is cheaper.

Still, it's a flagship chip that will perform better than the alternatives of midrangers like SD6xx or Exynos chips for this. SD888 is old, but it has the ISP of the flagship series that Qualcomm never trickle down to their lower chips. The only mid-range chip that can beat it probably is just the latest SD7gen2, which might be more expensive.

If Samsung can't control their own overheating chipsets then how will they control those from Qualcomm.

                  It's a decent choice tbh

Unfair treatment compared to M54 and M34. At least name it M74 if they really want to use this chipset.

With some royalty fee SS can print as much 888 as they want instead of buying 8+G1 shipping from TSMC factory.

If this is the S888 is unexpected... unless... they are preparing the Snapdragon 6 Gen 2 based on the S888?

We'll take it only for casual users, hope that the M44 won't be too pricier than the A54.

Old or not, if they use sd888 for this segment, it would still be better than the other phone in this segment..

The last time I recall a chipset this high being used in a Samsung midranger was in the Quantum 2/A82, which uses 855+. I wonder where this one will go.
