29 April, 2013
The new tablet is lighter and more compact than its predecessors, but little else has changed.

This is another crap from Samsung!
The previous 7" Tab 2 has very bad performance than iPad Mini.

My Samsung tab 7 plus 3g have same specification and is 2 years old. My next 7" tablet will be Nexus. I'm really disappointed by Samsung.

AnonD-79904, 29 Apr 2013still galaxy tab 7.7 is the best since 1.5 yearYou are right man.. I am using tab 7.7 P6800, and its immposible for me to change.. Infact p6800 is premium tab with SAMOLED screen so this tab is still costly, Now samsung will never manufacture tab like this because of participation in competition of cheap tabs from all manufacturers. This tab is still of 500$ plus. so enjoy who have P6800

Hilarious from Gizmodo, fedup with Samsung design:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3: Yet Another Boring New Android Slate

Just in case you thought Samsung didn’t offer enough variety in its tablet range, it’s gone ahead and launched yet another. This 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 is brand new and, um, like virtually every other Samsung tablet that’s gone before it.

The third iteration of Samsung’s first tablet attempt, this little seven-incher packs a 1.2GHz processor, 8GB or 16GB of storage, 3-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front facer, and Android 4.1. A fairly bland spec list to accompany what is quite a bland product.

The Wi-Fi version of the Tab 3 will roll out across the world in May, with a 3G model following in June. There’s currently no word on pricing, but it will probably be comparable to the existing Tab 2. Not that you’d notice the difference.

It seems as tough every new iteration of those 7" Samsung tab is either exactly the same or only slightly crappier. I know they want to sell the Note 8.0 instead but this is ridiculous. Asus has the upper hand here with their fresh artillery of brand new pad-o-phono-tabs in all shapes and sizes. Their update history is also slightly better. Watch and learn Samsung!

Lol, almost all the reviews are saying how boring the SGS4 design is, even making the HTC boss happy reading it, and their strategy is to make the tablets look like the SGS4 too? Nice one Samsung lol.

A 1280x800, 1.5 dual core, 5 megapixel camera, and a lower price tag would have made the galaxy tab 3 a worthy successor to the tab 2, serving as samsung's tablet for the lower-end category. Otherwise, with almost the same specs albeit the new look, its not a worthy successor.

The chipset will be a Snapdragon Krait dual core or a poor and weak Broadcom chipset like in the Galaxy S II Plus or in the Grand Duos? Please, if one of you don't mind and if you know something, reply me.

Not a big fan of physical button. Imho the best looking tablet of samsung are the following: first galaxy tab, tab 8.9 (right balance of screen size, nice display almost as good as an amoled display), 7.7 (largest super amoled plus display to date)

I'm an owner of the galaxy tab 2 7.0 and the tab 3 is very disappointing. The specs are barely any better than the tab 2 and the design is quite boring. I expected the tab 3 to have at least an hd screen,an beefed-up chipset (tegra 3?) and the latest Jelly bean but all didn't happen. My tab 2 didn't even recieve the official JB 4.1 update and this left a sour taste in my mouth. Next tablet = nexus 7 2nd gen.

maybe u r right about apple having the same design for almost 6 years and it starts to be on the boring side. apple's design is still attractive not mention apple products have PREMIUM build quality while samsung's current design is repulsive not to mention questionable built quality with cheap plastic. actually its quite the idiotic to make a tablet look like a big phone specially when the original design of the phone is not attractive!!!
