While I will say Twitter has been better after Elon took control (out went the intolerants mods and the good-for-nothing "devs"), this change of name is unnecessary.

Isn’t it the reason for which anyone else buys assets? Is he making people’s lives harder? Will him changing the Twitter theme, logo and mission effect you in any real way? If you can’t answer these questions then it doesn’t make any sense to call him an ‘evil’ businessman. He is one of the most visionary, passionate, hardworking and intelligent businessman the world has ever seen.

Such a bad rebranding of an iconic mark, and a terrible business mistake.
