No one crying about it's speed or whatever as the OS itself is not installed on it rather it's speed is sufficient enough for general purpose use like videos, photos, documents, etc. files that you wanna be kept safe or backed up incase your device goes wonky & said files are safely saved on the external storage.
But yeah they need to modernize these sdcards/nanocards to up it's speed like maybe the old emmc levels for start.

Doing a bit better in home market China recently with currently a 11.3% market share, but still behind Vivo 17.7%, Apple & Oppo both 17.2%, Honor 15%, Xiaomi 14%.
As for Huawei own Nano Memory cards at upto 90MB/S they are even slower than the already super slow MicroSD cards! Both are like a Tortoise compared to the Cheetah of UFS 4.0 internal storage in flagship phones. What smartphones need is the companies to develop a micro sized version of CFexpress Type C cards for super fast read & write speeds.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2023No latest SOC, No 1440p WQHD display, no battery improvemen... moreI wouldn't go that far. Huawei has always pushed the envelope of battery technology. Chemistry and charging. That remains true today with the silicon carbon battery. They have many world class finishes for materials. Kunlun glass comes to mind. High orbit satellite connectivity. The new macro zoom hardware is class leading. The list is pretty long.
And today Qualcomm made a very curious statement during its earnings call (they missed street expectations and put it down to a few things).
One of those things was a real eyebrow raiser. They stated they expected no further 'material revenue' from Huawei. That would obviously hurt them financially.
To my mind that can only mean one of two things.
1. The US government has already informed Qualcomm that they plan to restrict its sales of 4G SoCs to Huawei but an official government statement has yet to be made.
2. Huawei has informed Qualcomm that it won't be ordering any more 4G chips (5G chips haven't been an option for a few years now) because it is ready to begin shopping its own, Chinese made, chips.
We might get some information tomorrow. HDC will reveal HarmonyOS 4 and perhaps some hardware plans.

since 2019 when huawei was banned by the usa... up to the present date, that china already has a 7nm chip of its own manufacture is phenomenal... like it or not. 😜

nice to see that huawei isn't giving up. still releasing flagship phones every year and even if they don't sell globally as many phones as apple and samsung, they keep offering excellent cameras and great ui. the expandable storage with nanomemory card that can also be used as internal storage and the infrared port are stand-aline features in the flagship segment too.
the fact that huaweis surpassed apple and samsung for a while back in 2020 shows how far huawei could go if usa weren't jealous.
