Samsung played it safe with the Fold but it will still be successful.

Camera of inner screen is very visible.
Outer screen has size enough for videochat and selfies, no need for second selfie cam.

"The Galaxy Z Fold5 will be the best selling horizontal foldable"

Well if it's the only one sold globally, is that really something to be proud about ?
People have legit no other options, so they pick this. Doesn't mean it's better.

It is probably the only foldable that will be available in pretty much all markets. The amazing chinese ones dont come out in the US, Pixel Fold isnt available even everywhere in Europe and probably not in asia fully either.

And yeah, the software is nice, but they totally didnt do enough this iteration even if they couldve updated camera or battery, or add digitizer to cover display... Even the finge is literally playing catch up to what every competitor did last gen. But still upped the price 😁

Dont get me wrong, its a fantastic device but hardly an improvement even if there is still plenty they could do to match competitors. I dont think I want to pay extra 400-500€ just for the somewhat better software

"class-leading software with Samsung's marketing prowess the lack of meaningful competition on the global market"

Importing one (much) sexier foldable is increasingly tempting considering what Samsung has done (or rather, didn't) with this fifth iteration.

They can only play the "software & warranty" card for so long.
