HyperionBurn, 04 Aug 2023they skipped the s22fe so they also skipped the s8fe tbh
b... morebased the past FE releases, all FE naming is based the "design" or model used
using tab-S8-FE naming will more confusing if it using tabS9 design
beside "FE" isnt always decided to be released every year

S9 FE+ doesn't sound right. It should be S9+ FE.

There are like only 2 Chinese brands as of now to use that chip. While it's good chip i would imagine it be in a lot of things just like SD870 was and still is

A SD 782G should be the SoC of choice for this "FE" and not the 1380. Also; why a plus model?

At least they should bring the Exynos 1080 (tier of Snapdragon 865) and rebrand it as 1390. Put it on the Plus Version and compete against Xiaomi, bringing Dex Mode on it.

justasmile, 04 Aug 2023Horrible chipset choice. At least put a 7+ Gen 2 in there i... moreDepending on how they price this, and what your use case is, Exynos may not be such a dealbreaker. If they can price this at $500USD it could be a compelling alternative to the Pixel Tablet as a media device. Still, past FE tablets usually had lower specced screens, so we'll have to wait and see if that's going to be the case.

DarlingYext, 04 Aug 2023Does the FE version really need a separate Plus edition? ... moreI'm pretty sure the FE line for both phones and tablets was supposed to be a "we have some leftover parts from last year's model, let's sell them as a cheaper model" thing, then some middle-age white guy in a business suit during a zoom call said "what if we get more money from them instead?"...and here we are.

Horrible chipset choice. At least put a 7+ Gen 2 in there instead of the inferior Exynos 1380 chipset.
FE = Failure Edition
