Anonymous, 05 Aug 2023Do poco phones still have motherboard issues or did they so... moreDo Samsung still have exploding batteries ???
They once had them on there Note series so must still have them or must still be high risk to buy Samsung phones.
It's like broken record player with you people under every xiaomi phone opinion or news comments. Never mind that the issues only are in India market and the cause of the issues are unknown. Mostly heating problems coming from gaming with the phone when at same time charging the phone with the fast chargers and there for there is the heat problem.
Also i know that only Poco X3 Pro had the motherboard issues and that also only for India market as no news about any issues on any of Xiaomi brand phones in China market and in global aka European market.

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2023Do poco phones still have motherboard issues or did they so... moreI'm still rocking my Poco X3 Pro coz haven't seen anything released since it came out that I would rather use and it's as fast and reliable as when new. I'd buy another Poco coz I only got this phone when I went in a swimming pool with my X3 NFC in my pocket and killed it or I would still be using that phone today.

rosesarerosie, 05 Aug 2023Can someone educate me on why are they releasing identical ... morePoco is online only brand, they sell the rebranded phones for bit less as you can tell from the price. Redmi phones can be bought in local shops and the price is compansated for store rent and utility bills etc. Still this model could be priced even less.

rosesarerosie, 05 Aug 2023Can someone educate me on why are they releasing identical ... moreSometimes it had to do with different resellers in diffrent countries. I still remember fanboys of different resellers fighting over each other with their "renamed" phones of the exact same specs. But that was a long time ago.

DarlingYext, 05 Aug 2023"what's wrong with rebranding? almost all brands ... morethis is another reason chinese brands are struggling, most of them have multiple brands under them and rebrand each of their phone with different names within the same country with different prices or different countries with different names.
its like they are still a new company and experimenting on which brand name and model name to stick to for the global market.
so many people saw that vivo x90 pro+ is a great phone but global markets only got x90 pro which was probably the worst deal out of x90/pro/pro+ and hence didn't buy it. then they will wonder why our devices fail in global market.

rizki1, 05 Aug 2023what's wrong with rebranding? almost all brands do it,... more"what's wrong with rebranding? almost all brands do it.."
Everything. It's pointless and confusing to both consumers, case makers and the people who sell those cases. It's also bad for the entire smartphone market, no matter which brand does it, none of them should do it.
They should just sell the same phone under the same name in every market they want to sell it in. Why not?

what's wrong with rebranding? almost all brands do it, this phone will sell millions and it's fine it can also increase sales for both brands. People are happy and brands are happy.
In the latest news, 300.000 Redmi 12 series have been sold in just 3 days in India. This is solid budget phone.

rosesarerosie, 05 Aug 2023Can someone educate me on why are they releasing identical ... moreIndia has 2 major e-commerce sites viz. Amazon and Flipkart. Poco M6 Pro will sell on Flipkart while Redmi 12 will sell on Amazon. It is similar to Samsung's strategy where M series is sold on Amazon while F series is sold on Flipkart. Both products are identical but these companies sign some exclusivity clause with e-commerce companies, so they just rebrand it and sell it on the other platform.

Straight up, it's downgrade from it's true predecessor, Poco M4 Pro
- No more Ultra Wide
- Only max 6/128 memory
- IPS LCD
- Unknown Gorrila Glass ver.
The only plus here is SD 4 gen 2, but the rest is just downhill
