            chocolava, 07 Aug 2023If a phone is using around 8 gigs of ram on a fresh boot th... morewell i agree, but making the os more efficient, fluid and lower memory consumption requires more r&d and engineers and trial and error. while what these companies are doing instead is just slapping more ram inside. i mean both ways work mostly, there will still be minor differences but not enough for most people to notice as higher ram and a good cpu make up for the memory consuming ui well enough to not make it slow down the phone in any way.
            i dont mind either way if they give enough physical ram to make up for the high ram consuming ui.

High time Google gave us the option where we can decide which apps to start up during the boot. The software/os should be lean and minimal, but instead we get crapware/junkware where oem's think they can leverage against the increasing processing power each year.

                        honestly, if its using color os 24gb isnt overkill. my find x6 pro out of the box, on the first power on was using 7.5gb out of the 16gb and when i use apps it uses around 10-12gb depending on how many apps are open. and i mostly only use social media and casual apps, dont have any games. while the ui is very smooth and responsive, full of features, color os still uses a lot of ram
