Before Watch 6 i had/have Active 2 with Tizen, so for me it was big jump from Tizen to WearOS with some features which i did not had in Active 2. Design is beautiful, some decision is much more better as was in Active 2. Some new apps, Google package and actually similar battery usage. I like this model and i think right know it deserved every cent i spent. Recommend for all Tizen watches users and which have Samsung phone.

This is so beautiful, that I am willing to forgive the everyday charging needed to operate.

Looks nice and minimalistic. Battery life is abysmal, limited functionality to Galaxy is frustrating.

"The watch is also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance and complements that with 5 ATM rating for 50 meters of worry-free diving."

Ivan you are disseminating harmful and wrong information.

Ivan the reviewer didn't read the manual or Samsung's page, and Ivan doesn't know what the specification means.

Samsung specifically states "Do not stay submerged underwater, go snorkeling, diving or scuba diving, or play water sports like water-skiing or surfing, and do not swim in fast-moving water, such as a river, while wearing your device." Later they reiterate that "Do not dive, scuba dive, snorkel or take part in water sports (water skiing, surfing, etc.) or swim in high-flow valleys, etc. while wearing your device."

What sort of water exposure can the Galaxy Watches handle? Samsung specifically states "They can be used in situations when exposed to water or sweat during daily life (exposure to sweat generated during exercise, hand washing, rainy, etc.). They can also be used in swimming pools or in shallow water." but then exposure is limited to max 30 minutes.

Like Pedro states, water damage is not covered by warranty.

I like how at no point is it mentioned that the currently available Galaxy Watch6 (both regular and classic) are a step-down from the Watch5 Pro.

And before anyone would argue on "oh, that one will be compared to whatever 6 Pro will be" - that's not how reviewing works, you compare the product to other existing products and ALTERNATIVES around the same price, which the 5 Pro is...and even by the same manufacturer...

Anonymous, 13 Aug 2023Completely agree I've had 3 Sammy round watches, but ... morei totally agree.

Can't really use the LTE function. (E.sim)
The watch turns itself into flight mode because it's getting too hot.
                      Waste of money

I've got the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. It arrived this past Tuesday so we've had time to become acquainted although I've only just now spotted the speaker and microphone. I am doing an evaluation of Google Fi Wireless. Bought a new, old stock Galaxy Note10 Plus 5G just to experience Google Fi. I'm also on a nostalgia kick too as I have just figured out.

Google Fi allows the user to pair the Watch 5 Pro or Watch 6 Classic with their phone at no extra charge. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic works as a a smartwatch very well. Works well as a standalone communications device.

This past Wednesday, I went out to run errands leaving my phone at home. I'd asked my fiancée to randomly call me when I was out. The calls were flawless. One time I was in the center of a Target store and the call came in just as on a phone. Twenty-two years ago it wasn't uncommon for calls to drop if one set foot inside a store then walking 15 feet inside the building. Hurray for improved technology; seriously it's a good thing. I even placed a call to my brother when I was out to touch base with him. This Galaxy Watch 6 Classic even has a very cool compass. Very cool. Google Fi Wireless has been a fine-performing service over these past five days too. Win-win.

Anonymous, 13 Aug 2023They do review Huawei watcheswhich one/s did they review as the few "hands-on" over the past 3 years are not reviews.

JHB, 13 Aug 2023No, I buy it because it is round. It looks like a classic ... moreAnd the screens gonna be small, the ratio ain't gonna be right.

And not everyone wants to buy an Apple Watch.

Aspros, 13 Aug 2023I wonder why every gsm paid-reviews site dont even acknowle... moreI have/had a Huawei GT 2 Pro. Loved the looks, battery etc. The big issue was the glass top started separating after 18 months or so and has totally come away. I still use it to find my phone but that's it. I never wore it in water. The GT3 Pro looks like it is built the same way which is the only thing stopping me from getting one.

Superior features, more and much more accurate measurements, premium material and a battery like 10 times better...
Huawei seems not like the superior choice, but the only actual choice, that works with any mobile brand, even Apple
For the record my last 3 mobiles were Samsungs and never owned a Huawei phone
