This is true to All Console maker who control game sales like Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft etc. Console like Xboxe series S is as cheap as $199, no way Microsoft get profit from that, Same to Switch, Ps5 etc every game sold these Companies get 30%, so every Game you buy, every in app purchase you make Valve will get extra money to compensate.

Companies like Asus, Lenovo, or those Chinese dont get money from Game sales thats why price is High.

Hint: Valve has other forms of revenue, the other brands rely on Indiegogo funding from their fans.

Difference between refurbrised and original should be at least 30-50% this is plain stupid.
Anyone would rather buy brand new than refurbrished with such small price discount.

you have to suffer, 10 Aug 2023steam deck runs on custom linux called "SteamOS" ... moreProbably who run windows dont pay much, Microsoft used to Give Windows for free for devices with 8 inch or lower.

Valve were just smart they use 8 CU Gpu and 4 core Cpu to save cost and get more battery life while others are busy offering as many core as they can.

Ayn tried to challenge deck value but seems they fail to get enough components, When intel Anounce Meteor lake maybe Deck will be surpassed.

(if you prepared mouse and keyboard)

Imagine a gaming console that can play any AAA games, you can install windows, you can take it anywhere, this is a gamer's dream. And Valve makes it for a starting price of just $400 bucks.. Brands that are not very well known like Ayaneo, GPD sell them at a higher price.

When this beast was initially launched, it was sold in Indonesia for like $3000, now it is around 6.8M IDR ($450) 64GB.

Recently got an 1TB NVMe WD Blue for like $45. Plenty of storage for my laptop, which had 256GB previously. That drive used to be more than $120 not so long ago.

It makes no sense as i dont think people would go for refurbished version to just save 80 when that be close to same to buy used deck and save a lot more then just 80 for the 64GB version.

SSD have got cheaper but still expensive when 2TB is 120 euro that is like over 2 times more then 2TB HDD

My PC have like 250GB SSD for windows 10 and then 3TB of HDD where i mostly have my games and everything as these dont need to be installed on SSD as HDD speeds are good enough and being installed on SSD wont change anything.

To be honest my next PC probably have like 2TB SSD in it and also DDR5 but my present PC needs to die before i care to make new one. Also i dont think my next PC be gaming PC as i have not played much anything past few years so probably set something on the lines of RTX4050 in it that be enough and wont aim for the xx60-xx70 that i have gone so far
