Kangal, 17 Aug 2023What does that mean? I use them every day, but with the 3.... moreTBH, you can pretty much open Youtube type "XM4 mic test" and hear for yourself that mics on these headphones are pretty much abysmal to listen to.
"You never own them" or "You don't have money to buy them" argument is beyond laughable.
Sadly, the need to believe you bought something, and it is pitch perfect is what would I call one of the reasons I do not like user reviews of sound equipment.

    I use them every day, but with the 3.5mm Jack. When you turn it on for BT connection that's when the problems start. Have a second unit in the house, that one also suffers the same problem but that one happens more like once per 45mins as opposed to my unit which happens once every 10mins or so.

    If you look at the message boards, this is a common fault, and no real fix.
    Yes, they're both on the latest updates.

        I've got the Sony XM4s... and I will upgrade them soon. They have terrible microphone performance (calls) and the touch controls are never too accurate...

        ...but the deal-breaker for me is that when using them, every couple of minutes it interrupts the music and plays ambient noise as if it is listening to some Voice Activated Commands. Before you say, yes I have turned off those features from the official Sony App so it should not be behaving that way. This is a known issue, and a pesky bug with their software that affects a lot of users/not all.

        It's something so small and basic but kills the entire experience. I must say the noise cancelling performance is pretty good, the battery life is great, the fit is good, and the sound quality is good. I think there is something wrong at Sony at their QC Department lately.

                So I guess they completely reversed from their Headphones 700 product and are now all in on the previously popular QuietComfort brand. I personally have tried the Bose 700 and the older QuietComfort (predecessor of 700) in a store. I found that I preferred the 700. however, it seems like most people just want the QuietComfort so it makes sense for Bose to make those. They are kind of iconic as well, probably a reason why Beats didn’t change much in design either.
