htc you guys have done a fabulous job with the htc one!!no doubt about that infact i used to hate htc because of the custom UI and the specs of your previous phones but now i have to say you guys are doing awesome!but i have to mention that you have to also focus on slightly cheaper phones with meid-specs...mayb like a dual core 1.5ghz with 1GB ram and sense 5...that would surely help boost ur sales and profit margins because not everyone can afford phones like the htc one and the samsung galaxy S4...either ways hands off to you guys!!

Anonymous, 03 May 20136gig for media files? Thats totally insane, you should get ... moreWhat centuray are you living in! Try film in 1080p and see how fast it will eat up your memory. Or why not download a offline map for 2gig. Also mp3's take space, likewise if you have movies. That is why people want SD. Its very cheap and you swap it in and out in seconds. Having only internal memory is really bad for customers. Samsung realizes that and that is one of the appealing factors people buy the phone.

Anonymous, 02 May 2013yes expandable storage is just a gimick everyone's just upl... moreWhat I am saying is I have a phone with only 1gb user memory and expanded with a 16 gb sd card and have about 6gb of music on the card. so a phone having just 16 gb internal (user memory about 8gb)and non expandable will not suit people like me. somebody in comment below said nobody will use more than 16gb so sd card slot is not required. then you wont have space to install apps. so a phone having only 16gb internal memory should have an sd card slot.

This is what happens when you launch flagship phone very close to Samsung yet not able to make it available globally quicker than their competitors. At least Sony is smart. HTC was being too optimistic expecting ppl to buy their product with slight innovation. Samsung just need to do a bit to get their product selling like hot cakes. By the way both smartphones are great.

Thats how it goes when you dont listen to customer and ignore the competitor. If they had made the back cover come of (like the Chinese model) and had added SD card and maybe even removable battery HTC One would be so much more attractive. I personally like the samsung tweaks and the plastic but atleast for people wanting aluminum and those two thing they could have had an option. Now there is only one model to rule them all-->S4.

As was recently indicated in the financial media, HTC is expecting the HTC One device and its successors to turn the company into greater success. This is entirely possible. Look how the global success of Sony's Xperia Z has helped it greatly.

HTC had their time and head start to make themselves saint but they failed.
sure they are respectful but like any other market at the end there will be only giants and ashes!
Samsung or another Android manufacturer Will eventually merge with HTC!

It's funny that everyone tries to find fault with the S4. Actually, it's perfectly normal to side with the underdog. The HTC One is arguably better looking, however the S4 is more functional. While th HTC One user will have to go to a service to change a burnt out battery, the S4 user will just pop a new one in no time. And the HTC One has a bad camera. Ultrapixels and OIS are innovative, but the lack of detail is inexcusable. I usually need to take pictures of text pages, so detail is vital, at least for me. And finally, the One is too expensive. So, unfortunately for HTC, their flagship will not sell that well.
