snap 695 on a tablet makes sense, yet android manufacturers use them often on their midrange phone😂😂😂 they did not realize that 695 have crappy ISP. no matter the sensor, always look like it was taken on a budget phone!! not that it does not have 4k capability..

If it's going to have Snapdragon 695, then it's going to be a massive improvement over the Unisoc-powered Tab A8. Not so keen on the 4GB RAM though, it should have at least 6GB RAM.

The Lenovo Legion Y700 absolutely stomps this. Even the 2022 version is better.

Muni.Muni.Myaa, 22 Aug 2023Why don't they release with 8 series processor 2 or 3 ... moreBecause Qualcomm only supports their chips for 3-4 years, unless you pay extra, which Samsung absolutely won't do for a budget tablet like this. (They are believed to pay the extra for S and Z series phones and tablets with 5 years of security updates.)

Why don't they release with 8 series processor 2 or 3 years prior one? It seems like this SD695 IS the new SD615 if you know what I mean.

While processor wise is OK, RAM wise is a joke... why Samsung? release it with 6GB RAM! The more the better. And SW wise would be better with at least 6GB.
With 4GB you already are suffering.

to a landfill.Tablets are either toys or tools for work.
This is clearly a toy for a bit of streaming and browsing and good enough for that.
There are no good tablets under 600$€, but a demand

Rodolf, 22 Aug 2023Not bad. My complain is about two things:
1- RAM is not ... moreLooking at the dimensions and battery size, this Tab A9 is about the same size as the Tab A7 Lite:

695 should be good for a tablet because the camera video limitation does not matter on tablets

Armorkingu, 22 Aug 2023Meanwhile, another budget tablet from a company whose name ... moreAt least is a Snapdragon, so the ROMs development will be there. And the 695 in the low tier, is at least useful. Still I wanted to see the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 on there.
If it were UNISOC, goodbye SW support.

The biggest disappointment/bottleneck here is the RAM. 4GB just doesn’t cut it for 2023, especially since RAM is cheap. 6GB should be the minimum, with 8GB being ideal. It’s too bad, as there are basically no competitor here in good small Android tablets. Everybody is making 10-11” sizes. It’s too bad, as such Samsung simply put out a half-assed attempt.

Meanwhile, another budget tablet from a company whose name shall not be mentioned is released with SD870 inside....
And come on, be real here. The price is not that different. I have both, the A8 bought at 4.5mio, and that-should-not-be-mentioned pad 5 at 5.5mio.
And soon there will be comments about software longevity and support and such.
First, low budget Samsungs don't get the same commitment for software updates like the luxury devices.
Second, I prefer to have a zippy tablet for 2 years than plodding with a slow tablet from day one and keeping it for another 4 years.

Poor battery size. Since phones can fit in a 6000mah battery and this has a larger volume, why cant they? It'll just probably be around 7mm thick anyways.

Not bad. My complain is about two things:
1- RAM is not enough
2- Battery capacity at this size is suitable for smartphones rather than big tablets (which should be at least 8000mAh)

Budget Android handsets should, at worst, have 6GB of RAM. This is completely landfill material, and it should be criminal to do something this bad.
