ALL flagships are the same, no phone needs that much ram, nor can it utilise it properly, but its a selling point to the uneducated non tech people out there.
12gb is enough, but 16gb just future proofs it for a few more years, 24gb is just pointless.

ROM is more than half the phone.
After the pure Oxygen OS, the Oxygen merged Colors OS on my OnePlus 11 16/256 is buggy.
OnePlus is putting too much attention to useless hardware, rather should optimize on a bloat free, AOSP like ROM.

The biggest takeaway is the high frequency pwm. Low frequency pwm causes eyestrain and headaches and is employed by most OLED displays now.
This is a feature that more manufacturers should get on board with.

Honestly, even 16gb Ram is overkill. Nobody is going to be using 24GB Ram on a phone, where you can barely multitask and you certainly aren't doing heavy professional renders or anything.

I'm actually excited for the OP12.
The 5.4Ah battery and 100w fast charging is perfect. No need of anything faster or slower.
The 50MP primary camera has some large sensor, although not as large as IMX 989, but still better.
8G3 and ufs 4 storage is awesome. Now I only hope they add a usb 3.2 gen 1, 5Gbps (625 MB/s transfer speed) port. Adding a 3.2 gen 2 10Gbps (1.25GB/s transfer speed) would be a plus, but I may be expecting too much.
I think there's a 16/1TB option available, but even then, 24GB RAM is overkill.
I read that they're using a new panel so the green line issue shouldn't arise here.
Now I only hope it comes loaded with ROMs and it'll be an awesome flagship. Fingers crossed!

I hope they return USB C 3.1 and option for desktop mode. OnePlus had a decent desktop mode, so it could go a long way if they returned it. But €1000+ phone with USB 2.0 is really sad.

The phones are different, Camera island and specs unless you are familiar with the brand the "naming" numerics seem off.

After a quick research for me that's when the penny drops! this leak is just after a recent launch and keeps OnePlus in peoples minds
Yeah if I stayed more focused to the brand I wouldn't have problems that is on me sorry.
However there has not been a compelling argument for 24Gb Ram.. on any phone being my only concern.
