        There are only 4 japanese smartphone brands, or at least 4 that I know of.

        - Sharp (Japan only)
        - Sony (just rare)
        - Fujitsu (Japan only)
        - Kyocera (Japan only, but also only for companies, no consumer phones (anymore) )

                If they were to launch the 13T series with Android 14, then they would have to launch it some time in 2024. By then, the 14 series would either already be launched or would be right around the corner. That means that the 14 series would completely overshadow the 13T series.

                That would deal a huge blow to Xiaomi as the 13T series would reach nowhere near the "units sold" goal. Simply put, launching the 13T series in 2024 would be extremely counterintuitive for Xiaomi.

When it gets the Android 14 update, it will also lose one year of Android updates, leaving it with three left. Will you be complaining then?

                                Besides, MIUI 14 got pushed out in February of 2023, so I don't see why you would expect a launch date of anything earlier than 2024 for MIUI 15.
