I prefer curved displays and the S23 Ultra is borderline flat, like it's just barely curved and the rear design is so incredibly boring. Anyways maybe that's just because I see a lot of them, and also vegan leather/faux leather back is a must for me, and accessories in the box.

One UI ruined everything, and for some reason most people love it. To me it's unusable.
But yeah, they were absolutely the kings of hardware until Huawei came and now that they are mostly gone.. well other players have arised and Samsung is no longer the king of hardware, they are more like the kings of overpriced phones.

Sammy has always been the undisputed kings of hardware, but when it comes to software, they are awful at it. Overall, that is not a good recipe. Software is so important and integral to the smartphone experience.

sa11oum, 29 Aug 2023To put it simply - Samsung is a terrible company :)Currently the worst, when it comes to phones imo. Which is a great shame, they used to be actually the best.
The problem is they really got used to it, and so did most of the consumers.

A finished product doesn't need software updates, whether it's AAA games or phones, whatever it is. If it needs updates, don't call it a finished product.

Some of them will be minor and you may not even experience them, and others will affect the experience. It's just a part of tech.

greenarcher02, 29 Aug 2023Then no phones, nor updates for that matter, will get released.Absolutely not true, well maybe updates wouldn't get released as they wouldn't be needed.
But come on, do you really think a huge company like Samsung can't test their products well enough before releasing it, so it won't have any bugs?
I never had to wait for bug fixes on any of my phones, because they never had any. It's such a simple task for these giant companies.

I have a Flip 4 and I just like the compactness. Yes, it's thicker, but in the pockets it's often better than a tall phone. The crease is a minor issue to be fair; reading news, texts, or posts on social network doesn't really require such a high quality screen. Another unrelated plus side, the fingerprint on the power button is just a pleasure to use, incredibly fast and accurate.
