The worst thing is that Google will mount this renamed garbage for pixel 9 of 2025* until Google leaves that soc garbage behind and goes to Snapdragon or start from 0 with the tensor but with Tsmc !! And this will be for another 2 years or so...

Would non-US Galaxy s23 owners downgrade to s24?

After grest S23 with no exynos....S24..crap again

Fellow non-USA consumers, get ready for another year of an inferior flagship chip in the latest Galaxy S series.

Exynos 2400 will be pure crap when comparing to same generation like SD 8 gen 3 or D9300

Interesting… could this be a cost saving measure to avoid raising the price in Europe?

This COULD be a good thing, in the case, that the Exynos chipset is better overall (performance, efficiency, features). However, based on probability it won't be. That comes down to Qualcomm having better drivers and software stack, and TSMC having the superior silicon technology.

I think Samsung should commit that all S-series phones get Snapdragon globally, and to bargain with Qualcomm for a special version (Eg, having extra iGPU Cores). But Samsung should then roll out making A LOT of Exynos Chipsets, and good ones too, and slapping that on all their midrange and low-end phones. That's how they can compete against the sea of cheaper Chinese alternatives.

If not that, then perhaps Samsung needs to build its own Operating System and differentiate themselves that way. It worked for Apple. It almost worked for them back in 2011 with BadaOS but they were a bit slow to the market. They could have differentiated themselves by having OLED displays, LG were not and are not a threat, but they opened up selling to thirdparties and their technology was soon leaked to competitors. So there's really not much Samsung can do about their predicament.

The other option is that Samsung (somehow) miraculously finds a way to build silicon better than Intel and TSMC. And then manages to keep this competitive edge to themselves for at least the next 6-years, and we see that they are able to build phones with superior technology. Sort of like how Apple does it, but they sort of brute-force their way through buying big contracts and pricing their devices excessively.

Don't tell me, if S24 use Exynos outside Europe (KOR, SEA, …), I may not be buying this, it can easily throttle in just 1 minute, losing to 40% of max performance.

Insane, the S23 series are finally working with 0 problems ever since S20 and now they're going back to that crappy reputation again. I guess my next phone won't be Samsung again if this is the last snapdragon for Europe.

When lower Mediatek chip fabbed by TSMC (A34) can perform better and be more efficient than Samsung's own chip (A54), that shows the intrinsic problem with the fabrication.
