31 August 2023
The company discontinued the Note series to focus on the Z foldables and it is paying off. Early sales for the 2023 have been very strong.

AlienKiss , 01 Sep 2023Why should I choose a very fragile, no SD card slot, no 3.5... moreI'm using my Fold 4 for a full year now, coming from Note series. No regrets at all! Delivers in every aspect. Not using tablets anymore. Even my laptop time is now down to long typing and other stuff (music production related) that are still best done on PCs.
Samsung really nailed it with this line. If you are careful with your expensive devices, this should not be a problem as well.

AlienKiss , 01 Sep 2023Why should I choose a very fragile, no SD card slot, no 3.5... moreWhy? Go down to the store and try out a Flip5 for real. I guarantee you won't look back at outdated non-foldables.

There is no chance in heck I'll ever waste money on a slab phone ever again. It's a dead form factor to me.

Why should I choose a very fragile, no SD card slot, no 3.5 mm jack, prone to scratches, thick, heavy, crease in the middle, useless aspect ratio form display, huge bezels, over the form that's been known for 20 years to be the best?
What's funny is that if Samsung would add at least the SD card slot to it, I'd instantly love it and I'd buy it without second thoughts 😂

        Try again.

The starting price of the Flip is 1,239 euros and 1,999 euros for the Z Fold. The Note started at something like 7 or 800 euros.

The foldables shouldn't be anywhere near the volumes of the Note, yet they're already outselling them.

          This is a funny article.

          So they say
: we are selling 2 models more the we sold 1 previuosly...whats so good about that?

Shouldn't they be comparing Note series only to Fold series?
The Flip is a whole other kind of device for a whole other consumer type. Or am I not seeing something here?

I can't hardly believe that this is true. We have 2k employees working in the same area but I saw only one person using foldable. The same goes when I'm in the city. I think this is false claim and game.

Btw where I live (Denmark) Xiaomi sell good.
Some years ago I both had the S21 Ultra and Xiaomi MI11 Ultra Chinese version with a EU rom, i keept MI11U, much more smooth. I'm sure I will realize this again.
Because you don't want one specific phone or thing, it's not to hate it.
Grow up it's a silly dead thing... A stupid phone not a family member, if you feel like this because of a phone you need serious help❗

At Samsung's press conference on August 31 at the IFA 2023 event in Berlin, Benjamin Braun, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Europe, said, “Our latest foldable phones are selling super-fast. In fact, the annual sales of our foldable devices have exceeded the Note series in Europe.”

ITs when butthurt haters dislike the success of a winner that calculates their moves they come up with terrible childish false narratives to suit their dislike and pain.

Samsung is STILL the only manufacturer of Foldables to ship worldwide.

He's basing his disdain for foldables based on his experience with the Fold 3. I'm curious if given the Fold 5 for 60 days as his ONLY daily smartphone no tablet and no way to trade sell or take anything else would his opinion and view change?

Fold 5 is more power efficient than the S23U, scores slightly better in all but 1 benchmark - battery life is not hte one its beaten in between the 2 btw. In time who knows the flexibility of the screens and reliability to cracks over time will cotinue to increase. Remember what smartphone glass was like 12 yrs ago vs today?! A-huh exactly.

STill this is a great achievement in Europe by Samsung! 4yrs.

Now Samsung, improve Dex more, get the 8Gen3/4 with improved vapour chamber, 5500mAh battery minimum and futhure increase rigidity of the folding innner glass display and with NO crease visibly or viewibly and we got a winner. get pericope lens with ultimate quality and you'll have somethign Ultra users would be keen to listen to the debate.

Unnecessary noise then talks about Xiami which basically has barely ANY presense in Europe which is the scope of focus of this article!

Data is coming direcxtly from Samsung themselves. Go ahead and choose Xiaomi if you'd like that's your perogative but do not come across as childish hating on Samsung for their OWN data becuase it doesn't align with your fanship towards Xiaomi: two different companies and product focus here which has nothing to do with Xiaomi.

                    jeesh.

It has the same screen as the S20+, and yet you don't even get QHD+ resolution or 120Hz screen refresh rate. To make matters worse, the base 8/128 version cost $999 when new whereas the LG V60, which was originally priced at $799, starts to drop its value in the secondhand market and you get a headphone jack with Quad DAC audio, microSD card support, detachable Dual Screen case support, and 8K/30fps HDR10 video recording capability. You can tell the Note20 is a fail.

A friend of mine even traded in his Z Fold3 for an S23 Ultra, and he's not interested on going back to foldable phones ever again. He had enough with the inner screen's creases and fragility.

The note wasnt doing so well towards the end because it went from being the no-compromises flagship to being a glorified iPhone Max with a stylus.

Why pay more for it when a Galaxy S could do the same for less?
