Xiaomi is just taking phone without doing much progress. And people are buying it thinking it's good. I'm also Xiaomi user but not you guys are taking out whatever you guys want. Xiaomi redmi series is mid rang phone with gaming demand, so please Xiaomi focus on gaming performance with low budget and see how you guys will grow more and more every time when you lunch new phone by focusing on gaming and low budget. I know it won't be that profit but you can earn from other series.....

you have to suffer, 04 Sep 2023you must be misunderstanding. or perhaps you read the half ... moreConsidering neither the article nor Xiaomi state how many units the 4G and 5G versions sold separately, and just show the raw 1 million number in total, you cannot assume everyone is getting the 4G variant in doves, specially when spending $20 more can get you the phone that has Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (12nm vs 4nm), and India has 5G antennas so I don't know where your dumb assumption that everyone is getting the 4G version comes from, you really need to stop belittling Indians and making fun of poor people for wanting to get the best bang for buck deal. Your iPhone interject has NOTHING to do in this entry level phone article.

The 4G version also has UFS 2.2 and not eMMC and I get in Antutu data read rates above 1 GB/s (seq). The gaming performance of SD 685 would be clearly worse compared to SD 4 gen 1 but overall it is totally fine. Great budget phone, gets everything I need done fast without problems (I do not play games) and compared to Samsung phones in a similar price segment or even higher, the menus feel more responsive and less laggy. The only downside for me is the big size, but that is the general industry issue. If I chose a modern phone that fits easily into my pocket I would need to pay at least 2-3 times more than for the Redmi Note 12.

Assuming you can still even buy the Redmi Note 10 pro brand new, inflation alone would explain the higher price of the Redmi 12. Then there's the SoC. The Snapdragon 4gen2 has newer A78 cores than the SD732, which uses A76 cores. So CPU wise, SD4gen2 should be better. Add on other improvements like LPDDR5 support and smaller node (4nm) of the SD4gen2.
