Their argument likely rests on the basis that eastern phone brands have more to offer than western phone brands do, so it doesn't seem fair to be dismissive.

And besides, these news you see about Chinese phones is mainly relevant towards Chinese citizens, not us. Therefore we can't really form a fair judgement of their OS. GSMarena likes to keep tabs on the eastern smartphone market, which I appreciate.

    There is also a possibility that some of these new phone brands might churn out some impressive phones that stand out from the average Xiaomi, Realme or Samsung phone.

    For example, the NIO phone just made the debut yesterday and so far it looks very promising.

    Garbage is bad, but variety is good.
