Anonymous, 06 Sep 2023And yet people have the audacity to call Sony phones "... moreDefinitely go with Google if you want the full operating system and don't care about continuous deep spyware.
A Sony phone is great on paper until you see how much of operating system, cellular system, and GPS system is missing. And if Sony got it a feature only partially completed at the release date, you can count on them deleting it with an update. It's like finding a phone that's 15 years old but runs really fast in cold weather.

Okay so they made the Pixel 8 Pro flat. Cool, but now the bezel is much more thicker.
The iPhone 15 Pro manages to achieve thin bezels with a flat display, why can't the P8Pro? What a disappointment.

Why don't they get rid of the so-called Tensor? Fans don't like Samsung sh***.

Even though I like the software and hardware, looks do matter to me. Love the curve design, but I don't like the back design since pixel 6 series.

The 8 looks great this year. More curved, more compact and tensor 3. Might jump from my 5. I have to say I love Google's refined and delightful software experience, the monthly updates and the big feature drops not to mention the security. Nice to see you faster fingerprint sensor As I really like the rear sensor so that'll be interesting. Keep up the good work and evolution.

ikek, 06 Sep 2023It's between this & a Xperia 5 V for me this year. same. Pixel 8 has a lot of compromises compared to the 5V, especially chipset and memory capacity, but both are strong compact photography units. It all boils down to price... if the Pixel 8 256GB is cheap enough I'll live without the headphone jack and expandable memory...
