                            Being as they have had to develop their own kit i'm guessing they will come pre-loaded with tons of spyware when you factor in the software being their own aswell.

Honestly, this comment reeks of ignorance. And you think the brands from the US, Europe, and S Korea are any better?                                       Amazing, actually on Weibo I'm seeing more and more people using Huawei phones, even more now than before the ban, though the vast majority uses iPhones.
                                      When my P30 broke I've bought a Pixel 7, sold after 6 month to get a used P30 Pro, couldn't be happier
