        Most of them are already flagship level, when it comes to cameras and everything, Samsung just doesn't want to upgrade too many things about their foldables each year, because they don't need to.

Definitely smart rings are cool science fiction gadgets as foldable phones are, but the difference between fiction and reality is physics. For instance glass does not bend so for one there is no suitable material to build a proper display and never will. The cool factor will sell some units despite the disadvantages but will never cover the whole expense of all development, advertising, etc. The ring will not last a whole day with all features on no mater how bulky it is, it will not fit properly for all people, will require a phone, and will be too expensive not to replace it with a watch (which already requires compromises in terms of usability)

            Can I use this to propose to my gf tho

              If this ring will come with the same "amazing and accurate" sensors as Galaxy Watch 6 ,this ring will be a totally expensive joke!

                Jeez Samsung are so boring

                  Foldables were the next big thing until they gave up on the same camera hw as in flagships.
                  Wish they finished one product before bringing new one, or are folds doomed to have inferior specs forever?.

                    This would definitely be welcome. Since its mostly a sensor, you would not have to wear the watch all the time. Sometimes I take my watch off for charging and forget to put it on. Its also not ideal to be wearing the watch while sleeping. Also unlocking the phone with the ring is also a great idea. I can do away with face unlock.

                    These rings probably have NFC, if someone does a handshake with another person, it would immediately share their contact info with each other. A non-display smart device has more potential to be integrated into our daily lives.

                      I'm guessing it would introduce a much refined gestures controls to the Galaxy S24 series,such as unlocking the device with your own custom gestures coupled by your biometric data...or improving on biometric health reading.
                      A market I was eagerly hoping Samsung could have maintained or keep focusing on was the fitness band category too,guess the future would decide.

                                  Maybe it will be a thing with athletes, idk. I think there will be really cool gestures to use... I'm definitely interested

                                      you have to suffer, 11 Sep 2023if this became mainstream, would a smartwatch be obsolete?I think so... unless you don't have your phone available for a reason or another. The watch would become useless.
