hmm, 13 Sep 2023There was no point to buy mini as it was too expensive. It... moreWhich is why this would be perfect as the next SE. People who want a compact phone don't want it for doing everything on a phone so it doesn't make sense to pay that much and SE pricing would be perfect.

iOS isn't particularly very useful to me but since there isn't any decent compact android in the proper midrange segment, I got interested in the 13 mini last year when the 14 series came out but in my country, only the vanilla 13 got a price reduction. Since last year, the 13 mini has been about $40 more expensive than the 13, which is so messed up lol.

        iPhone SE should be $429 for 128GB. Seriously, 64GB internal storage should be long dead by now.

          Now we'll see this as a mini in a year or two. And then people will flock it like sheeps 😂

            Same reason the Xperia 5 is always such a poor seller, the market shows very few people want a compact flagship anymore.

Also, the mini was priced lower than the vanilla variant so consumers would easily think it's inferior. And the fact that historically, the basic flagship has always been with just a number in its name, a sudden addition of another variant with a different name (number + mini) that's priced cheaper makes it come across as less than the basic flagship. If the mini was positioned and named as standard number flagship with the $799 price, it would've had a better basic flagship image and sold just like every other standard number flagship in the past.

                    People do want a mini phone. It's Apple that couldn't make a promising mini phone.

                          I knew this day was coming! Ugh I'm so sad, as a owner of both the 12 and 13 mini it's extremely sad that these models didn't sell well. I get it's a very niche group of people who cherish a decent compact phone. Luckily Apple support their devices for ages so I'll be holding on to mines. Good luck iPhone 15 series! 6.1" seems the norm now for "compact"

It was only like 100 less then standard model but with standard model you had better features and on the size it was already small enough. Mini should of done way better if the price for it would of been like 250 cheaper then standard model.

                                  Apple just dont understand the reason of compact size phones. I want smaller phone cause i dont use phone a lot so there is no need to have it tablet size

                                  5.4 inch screen is enough for browsing internet and watching videos.
                                  Larger screen is needed for gaming only basically
                                  So for the use of a mini phone it just makes no sense to spend so much money on it.
                                  Like most of the iphone se users probably dont play games and have it mostly for communication device with the ability for social media

                                    But please don't kill the iPad mini

                                        Obviously! Anyone wanting a true mini buys a foldable Flip.
                                        Keep the big screen, get the smallest formfactor in your pocket.
