1. Those who are fans of high spec at lowest price like from Infinix, Tecno, Itel, Poco, and iQOO.
2. Those who don't know anything about smartphones and fall for the seller's bullshit, they will usually buy Oppo and Vivo, even though the phone may not necessarily be suitable for their needs.
3. Those who will only buy new phones from Samsung or iPhone and will never look at other brands, let alone Chinese brands. They usually buy the high-end until flagship one.
4. Those who buy second-hand iPhone which usually won't be supported any much longer but they buy it "because it's an iPhone".
This will make it difficult for any vendor outside of that to compete in Indonesia (but ngl OnePlus and Motorola has potential though, if Motorola comes here I'm sure will buy them because of their close-to-stock experience).

1) Vast number of buyers, and with diff preferences
2) They are willing to try out new stuff, gadgets etc
3) As the incomes grow, they are willing to spend
Nothing started selling in India first, just like OnePlus. I actually bought an invite from a seller to buy the OnePlus One and the invite itself was going for upto $30 when everyone wanted it
Pixels and iPhones lately have become quite popular in India, and moto is fast becoming a high seller. Apart from that, Samsung sells a lot of phones here because of their brand value. Others, like BBK and other Chinese brands also can get a fair share of buyers, because as already said, a vast number of buyers and they are willing to try out every kind of gadget, phones etc. I myself have many phones some I buy just to try
