In case you're wondering how these are related to the Japan-exclusive Aquos R8 duo, the R8s phones are basically the same except for selling in a new market.

        DarlingYext, 14 Sep 2023It's still an extremely weird choice not to have at le... moreThe older series which is sharp r7 just arrived here in indonesia, 1 of my friend already using it, and its somehow fantastic, eventhough it still using sd 8g1, the battery life is very good, my friend can reach 8hrs 47m SoT, the screen quality is amazing, but still have 1 con so far, the image quality is almost near to the real/natural result and the night camera is rich of details, but the image is warmer than usual image result from the other phones, dont know about r8/r8 pro, i hope its fixed with this r8/r8 pro, because now aquos r8(i need the ultrawide) is an absolute change for s21 fe

            Anonymous, 14 Sep 2023Manual mode does not change amount of noise reduction, shar... moreI don't understand, what I mean is auto is supposed to adjusted those noise reduction, sharpening, color science etc. automatically by the camera software without user-adjustment. You might think this is because I might just don't like Sony's color tone or sharpening, while this is not what I mean. I usually like it looks more real (not a fan of Samsung's overprocessed photo), but I just can't feel it on Sony's camera.

              Sony's auto is good... at some supporting condition. When it's not a good condition, it's a total meh, at least with my experience tried this phone.

                  If you reproduce same settings used by auto, results are same. Ppl in 2023 still do not know this? No surprise why certain youtubers have so many views, no need to know about photo to trick viewers ..

                  2030 and ppl will still be crying sony does not use auto HDR.

                            Having one camera with the UWA lens is a weird choice - It's very hard to work with 19mm FoV for everyday snaps, so you'll probably need to crop in most of the time. At the standard 24mm wide angle FoV, you're only left with 7.52MP of resolution (or roughly 30MP in full resolution mode, but then I don't believe Sharp's implementation of the Quad Bayer sensor is anywhere near as good as that of better-known phone manufacturers), which is simply way too low. The complete omission of a telephoto camera is a massive drawback, too. Oh, did I mention this main camera also lacks OIS?

                            Find X6 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra or whatever the upcoming Vivo flagship phone is going to be called (X100 Pro+?) would be a much more sensible choice as a cameraphone.

                                      One of the reasons for buying a flagship is the camera and its versatility, but this phone makes that pointless

Im also guessing they meant some phones that do like a decent/good main then the 8mp uw with couple of 2mp depth/macro sensors sort of setup.
