impinas, 19 Sep 2023What do you mean more expensive? S22 plus costs around 1000... moreI'm sorry that it's like that for you, the S22 series, including the Ultra is really cheap where I live, but when a brand new phone comes out, it will hold it's price for months here and said price will be at least 27% higher than elsewhere, so if the S23 FE ends up costing 660 usd, that would mean the equivalent of 865 usd here, or more, which would be way too close to the S23 series, and literally more expensive than the regular S23. That's way too expensive for an Exynos 2200 or 8 Gen 1 device with huge bezels anyways.

DarlingYext, 14 Sep 2023Yes it's newer, but it's literally worse and more... moreWhat do you mean more expensive? S22 plus costs around 1000 euros in my country, more than 20 months after intruduction, when last year's S21 fe started at 899, dropping to aroung 650 in two months. I hope S23 fe won't cost 1000 euros.

jielkade, 14 Sep 2023yepWithout sd card support no thanks.

DarlingYext, 14 Sep 2023That's complete bs right there from the usual 👍 emoji ... moreIt is a Scam = no sd card force to use overpriced cloud storage like apple no thanks.

DarlingYext, 14 Sep 2023But it's not a smaller phone, in fact it's bigger... moreLooks like Samsung release S23FE to sell more A54 and vanilla S23, what a great marketing moves.

Thicker, heavier, and a smaller screen? Seriously, at this rate, just get the S21 FE, which can be found for good price nowadays. The current ODM just sucks.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2023This is exactly what samsung want you to think. First st... moreSamsung is not genius . If this is their strategy ,then its dvmb. So they created a new phone just to make sure the price of their flagship is fixed . Thats a huge waste of resources

[deleted post]Makes sense. Anyways, chinese companies are doing pretty well in markets where they are actually selling phones in and overall as well, in terms of marketshare.

In your previous comment you mentioned that chinese companies don't give long software support and don't have IP rating. That might be true usually, but it's not true for all of them.. vivo, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo.. for example, they all have multiple phones with IP ratings ( even IP68), Xiaomi has just recently committed to 4 major OS updates (at least on 1 of their phones, which might be a starting point), and my vivo iQOO 5 Pro for example got 3 major OS updates so far and is constantly getting security patches. The UI being ugly is just up to personal preference, no UI is factually ugly.

                                    [deleted post]"9.Galaxy A35 5G (7.1 million)"

Incredible that they've already managed to sell millions of a phone that doesn't even exist.

I'm fully confident that once A54 is OOS, the FE will be trotted out for sale at A54 stock price less 10%.
