Nokia promo video spills the beans on business-minded Nokia E72 and E75

rigelstuff, 20 Sep 2008That E75 is the best form factor for a smartphone IMO. Just... moreNokia E75 looks like a sliding E51, so there is no way it has 2.8". Even 2.4" seems too much from the looks of the size of the phone in the video ... maybe 2.2", 2.4" is a maximum. As far as the video looks, it has the same 320x240 resolution, which to me is disapointing. But I really like the concept. I dont think it will have anything more than the E66 except the QWERTY.

The only problem is that the blackberry connect software will not be incorporated and this is really a pain for some users. I like Nokia handsets and they are fantastic with blackberry connect installed. I do have a curve lying around somewhere but it seems to lack that human touch.

That E75 is the best form factor for a smartphone IMO. Just like the HTC S730 and S740, the standard number keypad is good for a quick SMS, and the slide out QWERTY is ideal for longer e-mails.
Anyone know what the screen size is on the E75? If it's at least 2.8", I just may have found my next phone... ;-)

Im not too suprised by the e75. I was expecting it since rumors have been flying around. Its simply beautiful, but e72 is a total shocker. What will happen to the e71 now? Its just like the n78 and n79. Hopefully im wrong. I dont mind that it comes in black. Hopefully, both phones have symbian fp2.
For those complaining about the touchscreen phones, nokia will announce one in less than 20 days (October 2nd). The 5800xm shall be announced along with another phone (which isnt a touchscreen though).

Well Nokia's have always set new standards for other to follow. I have been a nokia user for a long time now. I have tried other devices too. But, Nokia's matchless craftsmanship and reliability is way ahead of the competition. Similar devices lack somewhere, somehow. Buying nokia is like getting married to a girl, who has everything. Education, mannerism, wisdom, adaptability and buying other devices is like getting married to a woman with some sort of a compromise somewhere. I hope nokia will keep the in-law-fullness with these devices as well. Long live nokias.

So, the e72 looks exactly like the e71. I dont see a difference between the two.
The e75 looks like E51 with a slide out qwerty.
Question is what happens to the brand new E71 owners?

@Marwan "Or imagine a phone that can project whatever is on the screen, to a wall or any surface. Would be quite handy for watching movies won't you agree? : )"
But the quality wont be as good as seen on TV, and wat about sound huh ? Phone with project is just for fun and show how the mobile technology have developed. Even if it come true, how many ppl are gonna use it? you still need somewhere have enough shadow to use it of. oh yeah for daylight, its just a joy of using it.

Market share numbers, profitability, sustainability, I wonder why those matter to you guys anyhow, ... You make a good phone, I will buy the good phone, providing that I need it, and could spare the money it would cost.
sometimes things on forums get abit too personal, as if everybody has stock shares in those companies.
Let us speak more about phones, shall we. Wi-Fi is abit outdated now, wonder when a Wi-Max enabled phone will hit the market, or have you heard about those batteries that would offer enough power to operate the phone through the entirety of it's potenial life-span. No more low battery, no more charging.
Or imagine a phone that can project whatever is on the screen, to a wall or any surface. Would be quite handy for watching movies won't you agree? : )

Ugly. Latest hands-on video of Xperia is quite good. Nokia should release better E series.
