MojNick, 17 Sep 2023Is it possible to pay with this watches using nfc?Only in china and russia basically. The NFC featre is there on the device, but until Huawei can come to the right agreemnets with financial providers in other regions yoiu're not going to get Huawei Pay.
I also wouldn't hold your breath on it getting supported anytime soon given the general hostile environment most western countries have created towards huawei.

Ok, i admit that they look amazing but there is nothing new. Only thing is they do come with Harmony OS4, and our gt2 series cant even get harmony os 3.

I also wonder, does gt2, gt3 and gt4 series have the same screen. My GT2e's screen doesnt look as sharp as other models but they all have amoled screen and has same resolution.

They do look fine but they dont use good material for their watches. Its either plastic or aluminium. I was tempted to buy gtr4 but i am glad that i didnt. Now they dont even have the gtr series anymore.

ZilverMan, 15 Sep 2023What is your definition of a sports watch? If it is a watch... more100 sports disciplines, much of them very similar - like hiking, mountain hiking, indoor walking... But what's the difference? Because I've tested, stats look all the same. Beside indoor walking of course, because there's no GPS. But it doesn't matter, since 90% will only use a few of the exercises available.
For a sports watch it weighs too much (48 g without straps for 46 mm, about 80 g with straps). And doesn't have advanced features like body battery, sleep recharge, workout suggestions etc.

But there is a pretty useful spotify controller app which lets you choose invidiaul tracks from your saved playlists and change playlists from the wrist. I liked that one

"The Huawei Watch GT4 works with both Android and iOS smartphones. It also integrates with apps like Strava, Komoot, Runtastic and Huawei’s own Petal Maps. It can also show texts from SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Skyp, Signal, Telegram and Viber, as well as send back quick replies. The watches support Bluetooth calling too."

Have to say, these are some of the more stylish looking devices I've seen in the smartwatch territory. Particularly a fan of the hexagonal look of the 46mm version which just gives the watch more character.
Comparing to the galaxy watch 6 or pixel watch I'd definitely rate Huawei's aesthetics the highest.

When is Huawei watch buds 2 coming?

And why no other major company has gone 2 in 1 in watches?

I have Gejian X7 which has built in earbuds(which sound ok but microphone is terrible) which cost around 37 euros with 2 extra metal straps.

I have used it instead of Samsung Galaxy watch 46mm from 2018 and it is really good for the price.

So basically nothing new. It's not a sports watch, because it doesn't have much sports features (HR and GPS is not enough). For health tracking there are better watches. And everyday usage - it doesn't have much apps.

I was considering an upgrade from GT2. Now I know its not worth it.
