Sony, please use a great display this time, IPS or AMOLED won't hurt so much, really impressed by XZ, but the screen let me down

big claims from sony, personally, all mobile cameras suck, its down to simple common sense that any decent photographer will know, if you want a decent camera to rival decent point and shoots or better, increase the sensor, camera modules are tiny and they simply cannot allow for that much light information to be captured, with flagships growing, there must be plenty of space to allow for this, even a few MM thickness increase will not make any difference, a phone under 10mm thick with a really big sensor and maybe zenon flash and proper zoom is not really to unreasonable to think of if most phones are closer now to 7.5mm thickness roughly

20 mp would still be reasonable for a small smartphone camera lens. Yes, 41 mp is too much and the resolution chart shots of the Pureview 808 clearly show it(can be found on this very site).

luvmyarcs, 08 May 2013again with the revive the cameraphone etc .. they said all ... moreThe camera itself is great. It's their image processing technology that lags behind.

AnonD-130464, 08 May 2013Maybe not as hot as nexus5.Coz I am sure that Sony will make Honami hotter than the Nexus 5! Nexus is just a big disappointment because it can't even provide people with enough memory capacity?! It doesn't have a micro SD slot which sucks and what? The Nexus 5 might only offer 16GB or up to 32GB only and other OEMs for sure might be able to produce a device with 128GB of internal storage because Apple has it on its iPad 4. Sony for sure will make a big bang on its Honami and for sure I will take this phone as my next device. I am about to get my Galaxy S4 tomorrow and I hope it's okay.

AnonD-130464, 08 May 2013Maybe not as hot as nexus5.Rumored specs of nexus 5 is not better for the rumored specs of the honami phone, just w8 for the month of july for the announcement of this phones true specs, so means it will be avail in market in the month of August or September, the rumored estimated price is around 800$-950$.

Great spec Sony! I'm sure it will be a looker, but if it is going to be water and dust resistance, hope they will resolve the speaker issue. Will it come with KLP, aka Android 5 ? Sure hope so.

AnonD-88117, 08 May 2013I'm a big fan of Sony and Android Os but in terms of camera... moreLets see what happens once they phone goes official and is produced. Then we can look at the competition again. So far Nokia doesnt have much competition where camera is concerned.

again with the revive the cameraphone etc .. they said all this with Exmor RS in the Z, SP, etc and the cameras are rubbish.

How about fixing the rubbish cameras in your phones already, Sony.

having a 1/1.6" camera sensor is bigger than what most of sony cameras have, even their bridge cameras, which will probably be the reason for an expensive phone...

I like Sony and used to own the Xperia S. Truth is, megapixel is not everything and Sony has claimed too much about the performance of its sensor lately from XS to XZ. They didn't live up quite well to the expectations.

They need more work on the software, not just the chipset. And sorry, so far 808 is still the king and who knows what lies in store when this (if it's real)comes out against Nokia.

Wow, just wow ! Seemingly Sony does not only hold the day but also the future. It's a bit thick for today's standarts but excusable for such beastly specs. Keep it up Sony and give us what we anticipate for long.
